Memorable Moments - Part One

 

Violette: Pretty Neighs, Everyone! Violette here. First of all, we would like to thank all those who sent such sweet notes of support for our #1. She is still having a hard time getting over what feels like a total betrayal by people she trusted. But today, she is off on a job to Brittany for three days and maybe the change of scene will do her good.

Anyneigh, we did want to tell you about our adventures and #1 asked me to narrate. On Friday, September, all three of us got into a big horse lorry and headed north to the town of Amiens. 

It took about six hours for us to get there, as the driver is obliged to stop every four hours for a 45 minute rest. When we got there, we realised that we were to be stabled in a racecourse! The accommodations were grand!

We were given some exercise, and allowed to munch a little on the grass:

And then we had fittings!

The next morning, the guy from the racecourse said that we could be put out to grass in the centre of the racecourse, but he didn't realise that the gate was open at the far end, so we were out in a flash, and since we were on a racecourse, we thought we might as well have a canter around the track!

After which we enjoyed some lush green grass:

Late morning, The Big V was ridden by a retired general from Japan's Self-Defence Force:

And then the time came for the big show! First, Miss Héloise being dressed up:

And here I am, in my full glory. I love dressing up!

There were not as many people watching as we had hoped for, mainly due to total disorganisation on the part of the people in charge, but those who were there were pretty impressed by us all!
