Violette: It's me again, and I want to start by thanking all of you who wrote in support, shared our post and helped out. We are confident that we will get there!
It has been a while since I gave you my news. Actually, I have been a little in the "doghouse" lately. I don't know how to tell you this but I tried to bite Ms. C a couple of weeks back... You see, a couple of times a year, I get really hot and bothered and my temper... well it tends to flare up... I am now back to my normal sweet self, and there will be consultations at some point with a vet to see if any further episodes can be avoided.
So, what with one thing and another, it was time to get our hooves done again, and the farrer came on Wednesday. Fortunately, it was not raining, but it was very cold!
Getting done, with the Big V looking on:
Do I look pretty?
Make sure you don't miss any bits with the gloss!
Come on, #1! I am ready for my treat bucket now!
Vidock: It's definitely getting to be nippy! So, whilst I was waiting for the farrier to arrive, I got to slum it in one of Ms. C's nice boxes!
Mr. B, the farrier, does very fine work:
And that young Ollie supervised quite closely.
But I have to admit that the treat bucket is the very best moment of all!
horses can bite harder than a dog sometimes... I still miss a part of my shin...it's a small depression where a carnivore horse bit me once ;O)
ReplyDeleteViolette, getting hot and bothered is OK as long as it does not last so you should be OK :) Getting your hooves done must make you both feel so much better too. Enjoy those treat buckets!
ReplyDeletePurrs,Georgia and Julie
You two are looking great! It pays well (with a treat bucket) to be good for the farrier.
ReplyDeleteSpa day! Nice 'pedicures' ;) We shared and donated, and hope hope hope you get what you need for your fundraiser!
ReplyDeleteV & V, the next time I get a pedicure, I'll say that I'm meeting my farrier! ROFLOL!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good hooficure, Violette! You be nice, now.
ReplyDeleteYou two look terrific and I'm glad you enjoyed your treats!
ReplyDeleteOh Violette, that was not nice to bite Ms.C! I assume it was your hormones while you were on heat as you are being a good girl again. Some of you ladies act more "mareish" than others and #1 and Ms.C know you couldn't help yourself.
ReplyDeleteWe used to have a mare who was really bad during her heat, not just a bite but an all out attack. She was put on a supplement which made a huge difference. It was from NAF but I can't remember the name, Oestro something I think.
Thanks, Jackie. I have bought some Oestress from NAF, but we will start by taking her to the vet for an ultrasound.
DeleteViolette, are you having lady troubles? Glad it doesn't happen very often.
ReplyDeleteViolette, maybe you need some anger management classes. MOL!
