Thankful Thursday

Genji: Yesterday was Send A Card day, and we received the cutest cat ever from our friends Zorro and Pixie at The Swiss Cats:

And it wasn't just the card. It came in a box with an absolutely beautiful patchwork blankie!

Here is a close-up:

We are thankful to Pixie, Zorro and Mum Claire for the lovely  gift!

I haven't tried it out yet because I was bust having a nap on another blankie!

Tommy: We don't get a lot of snow where we live, so everyone was surprised when it started to snow on Tuesday, and then it snowed and snowed and snowed! We ended up with something close to 25cm which is about 10 inches! The last time it snowed like this was back in 2010! Yesterday morning, #1 and I headed out on foot to visit Heloise, Hotesse and Doucette. It took us about 40 minutes to get there!

It really felt like winter!

At times I thought I was going to sink!

By the time I got there, I had snow danglies everywhere!

But I had so much fun, and the girls were very happy to see us!

It took us another 40 minutes to get back!

I am thankful for the wonderful snow and that #1 was happy to come out with me!

C'est fou toute cette neige. C'est beau mais pas simple pour circuler je présume.

  10. Very, very delightful card. And whoa, what a blanket! The filling in the quilt will be so nice and cushiony as well as toasty warm. The pattern of the fabric is just adorable. Most kind of the Swiss Cats to remember you.
That’s is some hike you and #1 took, dear Tommy. Quite a bit of snow for you. Hope you don’t catch cold. Did #1 have to warm your feeties when you got home? Brrrrrr.
