Thankful Thursday

Bibi-Chan: First of all, we would all like to thank you for so many kind words of support yesterday. They really warmed our hearts, especially #1's. She says she just can't figure out why people spend so many energy trying to hurt others, but it sometimes really makes one want to become a recluse...

Anyway, we are THANKFUL for all our friends for your support in so many things. Remember our Blogaversary commenthaton? The comments kept trickling in and the final tally was actually 56. With Ms. A and Ms. H doubling the stakes, we were able to go on a substantial shopping expedition for the Mayhew Animal Home. This is what we got them from their amazon.co.uk wish list:

This book cost £54.60 and being big ticket, we thought that there was less chance of people buying it so we went for it!

We also go them a couple of these of these:

Catit Jungle Stripes Design Patterned Scratching Board with Catnip, Lounge

And also:

And they were looking for some bath mats, so we added this:

Sorry about the quality of the pictures, but we (sssshhhh...) lifted them off amazon's website.

Thanks again for your support. As promised we WILL do the draw for the Goodie Bag this week.

Oh, and here is a photo of me for good measure!

PS: we have been having a little trouble with formatting today, and can't figure out how to get the spacings back to normal...

  1. People are weird creatures. Cats are so much better in so many ways. Do we hurt each other ? No, we know who the boss is and be respectful! Well, usually.
Fantastic things you got from Amazon - we are so glad the commentathon went well. Happy Thursday - there is indeed a lot to be thankful for.

  4. Wow, you bought some very nice things. i'm sure it will be appreciated. Regarding Google spacing - it just has a mind of it's own sometimes, and there isn't much you can do about it.

  10. What an excellent selection, #1. The formulary is the most stellar of gifts! It will help the clinicians to provide the best medication regimen to all of the residents and those to come.

I think it adds a dash of (something)! I'd get one, but I don't like the feel of that thing around the neck.

  21. Oh noes, I missed this post yesterday and I don't know how.

What wonderful things for the Mayhew Animal Home. You are all loving supporters and I know Mayhew will be very very grateful. xoxox

Tell #1 that we ALL are there for her any time she wishes to reach out for caring and support we are here for her. She is right; some people do spend their would-have-been-valuable time striking out at others out of jealousy and sometimes meaness of spirit. But do not let that cause her more than a moment's reflection. Go on walking in the sun the way you always do and let that meaness of spirit fall away and dry on the ground, lost forever.
