#1 here. It is with great joy that I am able to tell you that Tama-Chan "discovered" her babies yesterday afternoon and has totally fallen in love with them, and vice versa! She has been with them ever since and they are four happy kittens! She is also being very sweet with me and with Uncle U, allowing us to stroke and pick up the kittens without any problems. Since she had the op she has a shaved tummy, so the kittens have very easy access to the buffet!
Can you hear us cheering from over here in Oz?! We are so happy to see such great news!!!! Mama-Tama, you baked four beautiful babies. Enjoy them, sweet girl :)
ReplyDeleteSuch great news! I was a little worried about the babies yesterday when I read Tama wasn't interested in them. They need their mother's colostrum to become immunized in their first days of life, after all. But yay, all turned out well. I'm so relieved and happy for you all :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful scene of Tama-Chan feeding her babies. Trying to consider the human equivalent of a mom 2 days after a c-section, she is amazing. Purrs to everybody.
ReplyDeleteThanks goodness! I'm sure that she will be a great mom now that she sees how cute those little ones are. They have such pretty dark heads.
ReplyDeleteYour friend,
Niamh
what a relief to see those pictures! I too was a bit concerned that Tama-Chan was not interested in the babies. But everything is OK and so cute now.
ReplyDeleteTama-Chan, you are such a good mummy! That incision must give you a bit of pain and nevertheless you let your little ones suckle (and knead - ouch) away. Is it true that each kitten has his own "buffet access" and that they never change?
ReplyDeleteWe're so happy for you and your family! We can't wait to see how Tommy, Sei-Chan and Yuu-Chan will react, but we guess that will have to wait a bit more.
Kitty kissies for one and all!
Siena & Chilli
Concats to dear Tama, and we're so glad that you and the kittens are bonding now. Big purrs and headbutts to #1 and Uncle U for looking after your babies so well until you could feed them.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Tama, #1, and the kittens ! and... the vet' !

ReplyDeleteYAY! Excellent news! Yikes, though, when I imagine those tiny kitten claws on Tama's bare tummy! :D
ReplyDeleteDear Tama_chan
ReplyDeleteCONGRATULATIONS! Your babies are very beautiful and we can see that you make a very good mama to them. The c_section must have been pretty difficult but all is well now and we know your love as well as #1's and Uncle U's will make them strong and more beautiful by the day.

ReplyDeleteTama-Chan, My human is convinced they are the most beautiful baby kittnes on the planet. I'm happy you relized what they where yesterday. Hope you are feeling better after your operation!
ReplyDeleteYAY!!!! So happy to see Tama snuggling with the kittens and letting them nurse. Guess she just needed some down time after the operation. She will be a good mum.
ReplyDeleteMy Mum is going SQEEEEEEEEE.
This is the best Snuggles on Sunday ever!
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwwww! Meowmy is so relieved, she's gotten all leaky-eyed (she's such an old softy...we knew Tama and the babies would be fine, after all, she's a cat, right??). It is so sweet seeing Tama-chan looking so content with her four little babies, with their beautiful dark foreheads. We look forward to zillions of pictures!
ReplyDeleteI came over from Siena's to see and wow I am in love.. What simply beautiful babies and mum.. I wil be back to see more for sure.. Hugs GJ xx

ReplyDeleteAwww what lovely kittens Tama!
ReplyDeleteTo Tama's Mum - Are you looking for good homes when they are ready?? E-mail address is in my profile...
That is welcome news, glad they are all getting love and milk from Tama-Chan. They are beautiful, kittens and mommy. I look forward to more pics as they grow.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the world, little ones!
ReplyDeleteThis is SO exciting! THEY'RE BEAUTIFUL!
Too cute. :D
Such bootiful babies. Our Molly's babies are two weeks old.
ReplyDeleteWhat can i say? The kitties are probably very nice but Tom and me are not allowed in the room and we are boring in the saloon, we just want to give some licking to the babies. I only had few short escapes but I have to say Tom is a true gentleman and he offered his bed and slept on the carpet.
ReplyDeleteI can add i had plenty of car rides who i love

Awwww ... we are thrilled. We knew it would be Ok, Mama-Tama was just exhausted at first, which is understandable. Smoochies to all.
ReplyDeleteOh no!! I missed the whole thing, gosh that makes me really super duper sad. The Lap Lady took up the computer with a 12 hour final exam yesterday and most of the weekend.
ReplyDeleteI am very relieved that everything is turning out for the best and that Tama and her ADORABLE babies are all faring so well.
Much love!!
