Secret Sunday!

Tama-Chan: We have something a little different for you this week. Normally, we spend our Sundays here at Poupounette Central besnuggled, but today, we are befuddled! Yesterday, the man in the yellow van (La Poste does its rural deliveries in little mustard yellow vans) brought a parcel. It had La Poste tape on it so we don't know if it had torn or been inspected, but it has no return address on it and no card inside! The only thing we know is that it said "Secret Santa" on it and the postmark indicates that it comes from around Gloucester in the UK. Could this be our Secret Paws parcel? If so, we would really love to know who sent it!

In the meantime, we did open it (#1 said it was so that we could try to elucidate the mystery...) and we are a bunch of very happy kitties. Tommy, however, is sulking, having established that there was nothing there for him...

Genji was the first to check things out:

Although Sei-Chan was also on the scene pretty quickly!

Sleepyhead Bibi asked for bed delivery!

But he did eventually get up to take a closer look!

There was lots of great stuff in there...

... including a play cube, and tunnel, and crinkly balls and lots of mousies and whappy toys. THANKS!

I was of course supervising the unwrapping from above:

So, Dear Friends, we eagerly await to find out who our "Secret Santa" is!

To "wrap up" our Sunday post, we would like to show you the illustration from the December page of one of our Japanese calendars:

The caption says "If we all get together, even a little strength becomes great"! We love that thought!

  1. What a nice surprise. I hope that your secret Santa is revealed. I sometimes get pressies from across the globe that have the tape on them too. Seems like they must transport via catapult or something.

  2. What a great bunch of presents! I can't wait to find out who it is from!

  3. That looks like lots of fun stuff!! I wonder if your Secret Paws thought they were not supposed to reveal their identity. But I sure hope the leave a comment now to let you know!!

  4. Looks like it could be your secret paws and hope they reveal who they are for you. Thank you for visiting and caring while I am so ill.. Hugs GJ xx

  5. What fun and it is also more fun to figure out who the kitties were who sent the pressies. The UK is a big place and it could be just anyone. How cool is that~!

  6. You could always ask Truffle and Brulee at Sweet Purrfections as they allocated the partners. If they can't help we are sure their Mom Paula might know!
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

  7. what fun....too bad for Tommy though. :) We have a couple of those tunnels and LOVE them....hope you find out who sent it.

  8. Excellent presents. We hope Tommy gets an extra run outside to make up for his lack of pressies :)

  9. We love seeing your secret Santa gifts! Poor Tommy, the picture does show his disappointment.

  10. Poor Tommy! If we weren't so far away (expensive to mail things) we'd send him prezzies.

  11. Those look like fun gifts, although it's kind of a shame Tommy and Vidock aren't included. That is very mysterious that there is no name! I think my name is on the return address to my Secret Paw partner (my human did the mailing so I didn't check for sure).

  12. What a MYSTERY! We know a lot of BritCats, we wonder who it could be?

  13. Ooooooooooooooo!!! Pawsome gifts from a secret sender!!Hope you find out who ;)
Poor Tommy and Vidock, maybe #1 can five them some extra scritches from us :)
    Enjoy your goodies!!!!!!!!

  14. Cool that you got your package. Check the list of the Secret Paw list and see if you could work it out. Or if they don't come forward, ask Mom Paula who set this all up.

Sorry Tommy didn't get a prezzie.

  15. That caption seems most appropriate at this time.

Poor Tommy, but we are sure you kitties will find a way to share some of your fun with him too. Poor guy looks so sad - #1, please give him some snooter smoochies from us, and maybe a couple of extra treats.

Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning

  16. Thanks for dropping by my party and wishing me well. It means a great deal to me! Purrs

  17. What fun stuff you got!! And we hope you can find out who your Secret Santa is!!

  18. that's nice that you have a secret santa, but we are a little sad that Tommy didn't get anything. could you please send us your address by email ( and we are going to send a pressie to Tom. it won't get there in time for christmas, but we want Tom to have a pressie.

we hope you have a very wonderful christmas!

  19. Yous guys gots some cool things! Me hopes yous finds out who your secret santa is!

  20. WHat what what what !??? You guys got to open your present before Christmas!!!!!! No way no way no way. ÄÄÄÄÄÄIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII - open up my parcel now! You lucky lucky kitties.

We are racking our brains for Britcats near Gloucester, but we don't know who it could be. Eric and FLynn are a bit further south. Äiti used to live in Bristol but we know it wasn't her - how utterly curious!

  21. How exciting, a mystery! Meanwhile, you haf lots of great stuff to play wif. Mommy lufs that calendar pic and quote.

  22. Tell Tommy he's not has not told Grete, but our Secret Paws package only has kitty stuff in will make it up to Grete...I know for a fact mom..I mean Santa is bringing Grete 2 squeaky balls, plus other stuff. I'm sure Santa will take good care of Tommy. He is the most snuggliest woofie in the world!

  23. Ok, I confess, it was me! I am your Secret Santa! Mum was a bit silly and forgot to put a card in - she didn't have her Christmas head on, she says!! No excuse really.

Am glad you liked the parcel, and I am sorry Mum forgot to include Tommy. She says can you give him a head rub from her to try and make up for it/
