Tama's Christmas Eve Caroling

Tama-Chan: Don't you love the Christmas tree? The beautiful ornaments? The glowing lights? It's all such an inspiration to me and I simply cannot help it. I just love to lie under it and belt out Christmas Carols!

We have gale-force winds blowing today. We are staying in and hoping the power stays on. Wishing you all a lovely Christmas Eve.

Merry Manly Monday!

Vidock: Studly Neighs, Every Friend! I have been a really good boy recently, and so I get to go first this week! The other day, after my work session, my teacher and I went on a quick walk up the lane and back. He says I shall soon be ready to go to the woods!

I am continuing to make great progress on all fronts:

And I work hard, whatever the weather. Here is a shot of me taken yesterday, when there were sheets of rain coming down!

I was a pretty wet boy by the end of it (as was my teacher, and #1 who had to stand out there, watching me!)

Tom: As you can gather from the Big V's photos, we have not been getting any snow over here. When it comes to our walks, #1 and I try to  find times when we can go out between the raindrops.

I am ready, #1!

Life is good!

Last week, I had a great time when my pals Jim and Lad came to visit. Lad is retired, but "red" Jim is a champion sheepdog, and he has the most amazing floofy tail!

Da Beebs: Whilst we were entertaining, I was very helpful in assisting #1 with table setting and decorating…

Occasionally, #1 even serves me my meal within view of the tree!

Da Genj and I have been wondering what we might be getting for Christmas…

Genji: So here I am, last again. Sigh…

I have also been helping with the table:

All the while singing Christmas Carols…

Oh, and here is another pic from my photo shoot of last week:

Please note my feather!

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: Well, Dear Friends, we survived two dinner parties in two days, and in fine shape, if I may say so! Friday's was the bigger event but it was pot luck. Yesterday's was fully in #1's hands and its theme was our Big V as the guests included his breeders, the couple boarding him andhis teacher and his wife!

So, in honour of that, shall we start with a couple of Vidock snuggle pics?

And here is a selfie that #1 took with Violette:

The rest of us have of course also been snuggling! Here is Tommy on is bed next to #1's bed:

And giving her a morning snuggle!

Tommy of course remains the #1 snuggle magnet for Sei-Chan:

Here is Genji giving Da Beebs' head a good wash:

And Da Beebs having a big cuddle with #1:

Genji doing his usual sitting on #1:

And last but not least, here I am, having a snuggle with my Tommy:

And having a snuggle with #1:

The wind is blowing and it's raining today. #1 is off to see Violette and then Vidock, but we know there will be lots of snuggling here later!

Swamped SEIturday!

Sei-Chan: Well, actually, it's #1 who is swamped but what she feels, we feel, right? We had a dozen people over to dinner last night. It was a pot luck so #1 only had to make the main course and side-dishes, but she did have to clean and tidy up the living room, set the table, load the dishwasher etc, etc… And guess what? We have eight for dinner tonight! 'Tis the season to be merry, apparently!

Despite tidying up downstairs, the upstairs still looks like a train wreck. There has been no progress in the putting away of summer clothes and hanging up of winter clothes, which is of course delightful for me:

I have been trying to set a good example by basking in the lovely sunpuddles we have been getting:

And showing off my pink pawpads:

Relaxing is good…

… But I do have to stay alert a lot of the time!

Wishing you a fun last SEIturday before Christmas!

Vidock and Violette Vendredi

Vidock: Studly Neighs, Friends Everywhere! How are you all? Are your humans still sane less than a week before Chrishorse? I am doing GREAT! I am out of jail and back in my field, and I have been working with great application. I think my teacher really likes me. This afternoon, he spent a long time explaining to #1 how utterly beautiful my head was!!! Of course, she already knew that, but in case any of you are in any doubt, here it is:

Here I am at work:

And here is a fun photo of me working on my canter with Mr.C (he's the owner of the place I am stabled at):

I lost a shoe yesterday. The farrier needs to come soon to trim my hooves and re-shoe me. I thought you might like an idea of the size of my feet, though. Here is the shoe I lost and #1's hand:

Violette: Pretty Neighs, Dear Friends! Do you know what you're getting for Christmas? I suspect I shall be getting something...purple!!! Oh, and #1 has been in discussions about my next big outing! It's not until the end of May but it will be at the big medieval festival in our town! We are both very excited about it!

In the interim, I am always very excited at the prospect of my treat bucket!

#1 says it's really cute the way I always go straight up to the barrier when I see her coming, and almost stick my head in my head collar! But I know what's coming. A good groom and then a treat bucket. That's the life!

The other day, #1 took some close-ups, starting with my back. She says I just have the most beautiful back…

And then she took this close-up of my eye. She says I have loveliest eyelashes…

Have a great weekend, Every Friend!
