Hotesse: Neighs Everyone. #1 came to see us and I got some very nice brushies as well as some lovely treats!

Heloise: I got lots of attention too!

Vidock:  It was great to see #1!

Violette: Of course, #1 swung by to come and see me too!

Thankful Thursday

Genji: We are thankful that the extreme heat has finally broken and the temperature is more bearable today!

And this provides me with a perfect opportunity to share some photos of me looking handsome!

Woofie Wednesday

Ollie: Woof, Woof, Everyone! It has been so HOT! Some places have been getting thunderstorms here but no relief here as yet. Really high temperatures, increasing humidity, and no A/C! After the bur misadventure the other day, #1 has been reluctant to take me to the big field again. It took her  whole day to get the burs out!

I did find a new friend and brought him out onto the lawn to play...

Well, #1 was NOT happy, and I got a whole long lecture about not bothering hedgehogs. She then went to get a thick pair o cloves and put it back in the undergrowth. Sigh...

Oh, and did I tell you that she got e a pool? And that I haven't set a paw in it? She says I must be part cat. I really don't know what she means.

I am still wearing the sock. The ouchie is a bit better but not yet totally gone.

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Oh it's been hot, Dear Friends! Very hot! There really has been nothing to do for it other than loll about resting, although that little Bue Boy has been full into chasing lizards. I don't know where he finds the energy!

 I do still keep my eye on things!

But in this heat, even keeping oneself tidy is a lot of work!

Requiring serious recovery nap time whilst crossing paws that the heat wave breaks soon!

Manly Monday

Vidock: Handsome Neighs EveryFriend! I am happy to tell you that #1's aloe vera gel worked and my nose ouchie is all better (as is Violette's).

I had a visit last week from a friend of #1's who thought I was a really handsome dude. So what's new? Here I am, being admired:

When this picture of me and my lady love, Aral, was taken, I still had a mostly black nose:

Ollie: #1 is trying to manage my foot ouchie but I confess I am not being very cooperative and I try to lick through the sock/boot. She is not pleased! And then yesterday, she got up really early to take me for a run in the fields before it got hot:

I had a great time, but when I got back, I was covered in burs. Poor #1...

Genji: I am ouchie free for the moment but I am upset wth #1 because she keeps stealing my lizards! It is totally not fair!

I'm going to have a serious think about how to keep them away from her...

As a bonus this week, Mr. G sent us some nice pics of our cousin, Tora-Chan. Look how handsome he is! He is the same age as our Beebs

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: It's been a couple of weeks since we had a SoS post (thanks again for all the love last week!) so we have a bumper edition for you today! It's amazing that we have managed to snuggle at all, given the torrid heat around here, but some of the photos preceded that.

Mr.G and Ms. N came to visit us, and them Mr. G came again! Here he is with all three of us!

We really love Mr. G!

 

We also love Ms. N, especially Ollie!

 

But let's not forget our #1! Here I am, getting my tummy snorgled!

But Genji moved in on the lap pretty quickly!

Sei-Chan's Souvenir Saturday

Rainbow Sei: As forecast, temperatrues have ramped up in France and people are being asked to take care and not expose themselves too much to the heat. So, I thought that, this time, I would post the coolest pics I could find of us.

Let me start with Tommy as he would always go the beach in August and that was very refreshing! These two pics were taken at the beach in Normandy a few months before Tommy came to join us at the Bridge:

Needless to say, the rest of us didn't go to the beach, so let me see what I can find...

Starting with me, I couldn't find anything that was blatantly cool, so I just went for blatantly gorgeous!

Da Beebs loved the sky hammocks in the study and he would keep cool by hanging various body parts outside!

It would seem that Ikkyu was a real pro at keeping cool!

Sad as it makes us for her Mum, Nancy, we were pleased to welcome an old friend among us this week. Beautiful Georgia from Mickey's Musings has come to join us. She received a raucous welcome from Mickey and all TOWCB, as well as from all of us. We send purrs and hugs to Mum Nancy and sister Julie.
