Feline Friday With Fuku-Chan

#1 here. As those of you on Facebook will know, my time in Japan has been very much centred on horses so far, but this does not mean that it has been catless!

On Tuesday, I spent part of the day with friends at the racecourse. He is a trainer and she is general caretaker and does all the horse decorations. Aside from horses, they love cats and have several. Today, I would like to introduce the very handsome Fuku-Chan:

This magnificent panther came to his owners when he was a tiny kitten, and he is now 16 years old.

He is much loved by Ms. Y!

He loves the special "Chûru" creamy treats!

But, you see, Fuku-Chan is diabetic and he needs daily insulin injections. Ms. M, Ms. Y's daughter, tests him to adjust the levels as needed:

And then he gets exactly the right amount of insulin.

He is really a very lucky boy!

Thankful Thursday

Tama & Genji: Even though we are not thankful for #1 being away for such a long time, we are really thankful that we have Mr. G and Ms. N who take such wonderful care of us, so we don't feel lonely or sad.

Don't forget to join us tomorrow for a special edition of Feline Friday!

Woofie Wednesday

Ollie: Woof, Woof, everyone! Ollie here! I thought you would like some news of me! I am doing really well, and am being exceptionally well taken care of by Mr. G and Ms. N. And I have some pics taken by Mr. G to share with you!

I get to spend some quality time with my little buddy, Tora-Chan:

And Ms. N is making sure that my ears and the rest of me are properly combed!

PS: #1 is having a great time from what we hear! Tama an Genji will report tomorrow.

(Rainbow) Tommy Tuesday

#1 here. Had I needed some proof that Tommy was indeed accompanying me this week, I got it in the most extraordinary way yesterday. I was at a meeting with someone about one of my upcoming conferences and she brought over a book of pictures by my late Japanese photographer friend. This was the first page at which she, by chance, opened the book:

Pretty amazing, don't you think? There he was... looking straight at me with that beautiful smile.

Manly Monday

Ollie: #1 keeps looking at these photos and laughing. Any idea why?

She says I am going to trip over "it" one of these days. Humans are a little bit crazy, don't you think?

Genji: You know what? It's getting colder! The heating will have to go on son!

Vidock: Here I am with my girlfriend, Amandine.

Isn't she pretty? And she is not a Percheron like me! Amandine is a Cob Normand, another breed from this same region.

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: I am happy to report that we got in our share of snuggling before #1 left, and so I do have photos to share with you this week.

Let me start with the Vs as they so often end up at the end. Here is The Big V with #1:

And Miss Violette!

They really are both excellent snugglers!

I continued to snuggle with #1 in the evenings when she was here:

Whereas young Ollie does morning snuggles with her:

And Genji is an anytime snuggling kind of guy!

Well, for the next month, we will be snuggling with Mr. G and Ms. N. Hopefully, we can even get some photos up on our blog! We will try to continue blogging as often as we can. but we can't make any promises, and we will probably stink at commenting at times.

Rainbow On The Road - Tommy and Da Beebs

Rainbow Tommy: Rainbow Woofs, Everyone! After all those years of watching #1 leave, it's very exciting to be going with her this time. Da Beebs and I are planning to stick to her like glue. Here is a happy pic of me to show how I feel:

And I though I would share a couple of photos of myself on the move for this post:

See you later! Gotta run!!!

Da Rainbow Beebs: Mee-Yow Everyone! What can I say? This is Houbibi on a totally awesome scale! I think I am really going to love going on the road with my beloved #1. She doesn't know it yet but I am going to sleep curled up against her at night, just like I used to do!

Open that door!

Out and about with Tommy:

I have always been an explorer at heart. Japan, here I come!
