Manly Monday

Da Genj: Well, #1 was really, really good yesterday and stayed in bed most of the day, and took her new meds, and she says that she thinks she's beginning to feel better! I have been continuing my nursing duties:

Da Beebs: I have been trying out the Christmas Hammick for size and resilience:

Da Trav: I have been snoozing in my favourite straw box!

Vidock: #1 says I have a nice bum. Do you think so?

Tommy: I got my new Christmas collar yesterday!

Here is hoping you all have a great, bug-free week!

Sorry State Sunday

Tama-Chan: Well, Dear Friends, the fact of the matter is that #1 is feeling pretty awful. Terrible cough with eyes caked shut in the morning... you get the idea. Fortunately, her very nice doctor friend, Dr. J, stopped by the house yesterday evening and brought new and different medicine, so we are all crossing paws that it makes her better quickly.

The end result is that we do not have a proper SoS post for you today. We do have a couple of pics of nurses Sei and Genji attending to #1:

We have, however, made some progress in the Christmas spirit category. A very kind young Japanese friend of #1s came over on Friday and helped to put up and decorate our tree! Thank you, Ms. Y!

We have a couple of new decorations this year, including this one in honour of Violette's participation in the big Japanese festival in August:

#1 also assembled our Christmas Hammick and I immediately checked it out!

Oh, and we also have some Christmas dishes!

Have a great Sunday, Everyone!

Sneezy SEIturday!

Sei-Chan: No. Dear Friends, it's not me who is sneezy! You can guess who is, can't you? She is still on the road to recovery and it's a slow, sneezy process. Amazingly, our Christmas tree did go up yesterday but #1 says that is entirely due to huge help from a nice (and young and healthy!) Japanese friend. And #1 has promised to be really good this weekend.  Of course we will believe that when we see it...

#1 had to make room on our tatami space to wrap some gifts the other day and so she doubled up two zabutons. as you can iagine, I was first in line to be a two-zabuton girl!

She also brought some new Christmas decorations and I had to approve them:

And I did some supervising of my fusspot bro, Da Beebs, having his meal:

In addition to nursing duties with my other bro, Genji:

I'm a busy girl these days!

Vidock and Violette Vendredi

Vidock: With her being sick and all that, we haven't seen as much of #1 as usual and we miss her! Still, we had a bit of fun the other day, when Mr. JPD came to ride me. What do you think of my Christmas look?

Violette: That boy is such a ham! I just concentrate on going to see #1 as soon as I hear her car coming down the drive!

Tommy's Thankful Thursday

Tommy: First of all, #1 has asked me to thank all of you for your kind words. Her colds tend to be epic and this one is no different but she is thankful that she can take the time to rest and says she will be as good as new in no time thanks to our very good care of her (and soup!).

As you can imagine, my walks have been somewhat curtailed, which she says is not a bad thing for my still there slight limp. But I am thankful that she has walked with me to the top of the lane and back even though she wasn't feeling great. She took this lovely picture in the morning light yesterday:

And one of me in the sunshine!

Winning (?) Wednesday

Da Beebs: I am not sure that "winning" is the right title although I couldn't come up with anything better. #1 had not gone to Paris! The reason, sadly, is that she's feeling totally rotten and couldn't face it. A violently sore throat has made sleeping difficult. Da Genj remains at his post when she is in bed and sweet Sei-Chan actually glued herself to her at one point to try and make her feel better. She was also out all afternoon yesterday, working on a project that will be pretty exciting for the Vs next May, and we consider that more than enough activity, so today, she is staying in bed and we are supervising!

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: We had lots of sunpuddles yesterday although they will probably be a bit thin on the ground today. #1 served me my breakfast as I most prefer it, al fresco in the cat run! Overall, though, it's nicer to be indoors, close to the radiators. #1 calls this one my "sausage shot"!

And this of course is my favourite spot in the radiator hamock:

And then there is the new zabuton, although I think I look a bit pudgy in this one:

Oh, and did you see the Mother and Son picture of me and my Beebs. He looks enormous next to me but that's because he is sitting up much straighter!

We are continuing to take good care of #1. She did go to see the doctor yesterday and got some meds. She is going to be naughty and go to Paris for the day on Wednesday and we are not sure we approve...
