Ryū-Chan: #1 loves to watch eventing (the kind with horses) on television and she had a real treat last weekend as it was the annual Badminton Trials, one of the Holy Grails of eventing. A lady called Ros Canter, riding a horse called Lordships Gruffalo (nickname: Walter) was aiming to make history and win the title for a third time on the same horse. And she did it! It was absolutely amazing! She rode a perfect dressage test, a perfect cross-country, and a perfect jumping round. I, Dragon Ryū, did my utmost to unseat her during the cross country portion, but she totally ignored me!

Way to go Ryu!! And how nice for #1 to enjoy the eventing. Also, wanted to mention yesterday's post. That wresting match was the best, very inspirational :)))
ReplyDeleteYou really do get into the horses on TV, Ryu!
ReplyDeleteRyu she could not have one race without you being right there on the screen with her. It was great to see you have as much enthusiasm as does #1.

PeeEssWoo Hi Ollie - my #1 says the chowder was quite yummy - and will have another small cup today as Connie at Dawn's included a small container when we bought the large one - she's going to have it at The GKP today! And she liked the FINALLY smile too!
What a great accomplishment. My parents enjoy watching eventing too. There used to be an eventing trial in our home town that Olympians would come to.
ReplyDeleteRyū-Chan!
ReplyDeleteWhat have you got against a 3-time champion, other than #1 was paying more attention to the TV than you, hmm?
We don't see much Horse-TV where we live!
ReplyDeleteAlways love when animals watch TV. Makes you wonder what they're thinking. Too cute.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing duo! I'm glad they won.
ReplyDeleteCharlee: "That was a great try, Ryū-Chan! I guess she was just too focused for you!"
ReplyDeleteJava Bean: "Ayyy, I usually try jumping up and down and barking at the animals and stuff on TV, but they ignore me, too. I guess you need to have a lot of focus if you want to be on TV."
