Telly Tuesday!

Ryū-Chan: #1 loves to watch eventing (the kind with horses) on television and she had a real treat last weekend as it was the annual Badminton Trials, one of the Holy Grails of eventing. A lady called Ros Canter, riding a horse called Lordships Gruffalo (nickname: Walter) was aiming to make history and win the title for a third time on the same horse. And she did it! It was absolutely amazing! She rode a perfect dressage test, a perfect cross-country, and a perfect jumping round. I, Dragon Ryū, did my utmost to unseat her during the cross country portion, but she totally ignored me!

Congratulations to GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) Ros and Walter! By the way, Ros had a baby, a daughter, only 16 weeks ago! Here is a pic of them doing their victory round:

  3. Ryu she could not have one race without you being right there on the screen with her. It was great to see you have as much enthusiasm as does #1.

  8. What a great accomplishment. My parents enjoy watching eventing too. There used to be an eventing trial in our home town that Olympians would come to.

  9. Ryū-Chan!
What have you got against a 3-time champion, other than #1 was paying more attention to the TV than you, hmm?

  13. Charlee: "That was a great try, Ryū-Chan! I guess she was just too focused for you!"
Java Bean: "Ayyy, I usually try jumping up and down and barking at the animals and stuff on TV, but they ignore me, too. I guess you need to have a lot of focus if you want to be on TV."
