The Big V: Handsome Neighs Everyone! Miss Violette and I are hosting today's post to tell you all about our hooficures yesterday! It had been a while since we had seen the farrier and #1 was getting worried about the length of our hooves. But several farriers have given up farriering in the area over the past few months, and it has become really difficult to find one! #1 was basically wringing her hands in despair, and then she spoke with someone at a Percheron event about a week back, who told her she had a great farrier who was fairly new to the business, and he was willing to travel some distance. #1 contacted him and realised she had met him before when he had helped out at Ms. C's for a while a few years back. Anyneigh, he agreed to come and he came as planned yesterday.
He started with me. My great love, Ms. L, was holding me.

aww new shoes... may they bring you to the best places when you walk in it...
ReplyDeleteIm sure your feet feel a lot better now. Linda
ReplyDeleteThank goodness for being introduced to Mr P. It must be very difficult to find veterinarians and farriers for horses if you don't live in the right place. It seems difficult enough anymore for small animal owners to find a good veterinarian.
ReplyDeleteI did giggle at the word HOOFICURES but it's appropriate! Glad all turned out well hopefully Mr. P will stick around for a long time!
ReplyDeletePAWsome for the gorgeous Horse Doggies!

PeeEssWoo Hi Ollie - did the nice 'FUR'rier offer to do your feety feet?
I'm glad to hear #1 found a farrier for you. It must have felt good to get a hoof trim and all those treats.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like quite the job but I'm sure your feet feel so much better now, Vidock and Violette!
ReplyDeleteLulu: "Wow, that's quite a process! Mama has to do that for us sometimes with a little thing she calls a Dremel, which involves lots of treats, because we don't really like it. I see you get treats too. That makes it all worthwhile!"
ReplyDelete"Hooficurian" sounds more fun than 'farrier', no? 😹
ReplyDeleteYou two are so good and gorgeous too!
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful news! You must feel good that pampering your feet can now be a regular thing once again. Hooray!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing to find someone willing and able to carry on such a needed business.
ReplyDeleteI’m sure your hooves look and feel magnificent.
