Lily: Mad Woofs, Everyone! Lily here! As you know, I look a lot more like my Mummy, Noelle, than my Daddy, Ollie. But #1 says I am now getting to smile exactly like my Daddy! What do you think?
Here is a Daddy Ollie smile for you:

Here is a Daddy Ollie smile for you:
Benny: #1 says that this year is almost over. What's a year? Is it something to be thankful for? I am thankful for the great time we had on Monday when we had our friends to lunch. Mr. G took some nice pics of me and I thought I would share them with you.
I am thankful for a great family, a great home, and a #1 who loves me!
Ollie: Woofs! It's me again! I hope you don't mind! We had friends to lunch on Monday, including some of my favourite people. I had the best time! Mr. G took the photos.
Mc. C brought me fresh news of my daughter, Lily.
Tama-Chan: It has only been a week since my last post? Honestly, it feels like a lifetime. As you can imagine, my principal role has been to support #1 through this difficult period.
Believe me, I have my paws full!
Benny: Things have been really strange here. My bro, Ollie, disappeared for a few days and, when he came back, he stayed downstairs all the time instead of following #1 wherever she goes. So, #1 has mostly stayed downstairs as well, which has been nice because that means we are all together!
I love to snuggle with #1 when she is watching TV!
Ollie: Woofs, Everyone! Ollie here! Thanks so much for all the good thoughts you sent my way. I am doing really well. I don't know why #1 won't let me go upstairs. I am confined to the ground floor and I even have to sleep downstairs. It's all very strange! And she holds me on a short leash on our very short walks! I am just fine! Really! And I don't even have to wear a cone!
I got a really fun gift from our friends over at The Swiss Cats, and took it with me on my Christmas walk!
#1 said I should rest up, so I am following instructions!
From all of us to all of you:
Benny: Meghowwwwwwww, Everyone! I am SO happy because my best bud, Ollie, is coming home today. I have really missed him! I have been all alone, dealing with Queen Hissy Tama...
Hey, guess what? My Christmas decoration arrived yesterday, and it's BIG! Even #1 didn't expect ot to be quite so big, so it is now hanging from the ceiling! Look!
Ollie: Woofs! It's m again, posting remotely from VetRef, the referral clinic where I am staying. We drove down yesterday afternoon, with #1, Mr. G and Ms. N. The first vet I saw, Dr. T, turned out to be the same guy who operated on Benny last May, and he asked how Benny was doing! Anyway, he examined me very, very thoroughly and he told #1 that he did not see any issues with my soft palate or any neurological issues, but he was concerned about how I walked, and wanted to take some x-rays. #1 helped and the x-rays showed that I have a torn cruciate ligament in my right hind leg, and really bad inflammation. I managed to hide it really well, but you remember when I was limping some time ago? Well, that's what it was! So, I am having surgery today. It's called TPLO (Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy). It has a very good prognosis for a full recovery. I will be coming home on Friday morning and will have to take it pretty easy for a month. #1 said to me that if I had to have such a surgery, it was best to do in the depths of winter , when it's cold and miserable and it's not much fun to be outside! We will update this post once #1 gets news about the surgery.
They really like me here. They say I am one of the coolest dogs they have seen! Dr. T told #1 that several of his friends had gotten Springer Spaniels recently because we are such great dogs. He was so nice to me when he was examining me!
They were also very impressed that I came to VetRef with my very own pupparazzi, Mr. G!
I'll be back soon!
UPDATE: Everything went well with the surgery and #1 is coming to get me tomorrow morning!
Ollie: Woofs everyone! Ollie here! Woe, woe, woe is me! Terrible things have been happening to me! On Sunday evening, I was asleep at #1's feet as she watched and watched TV, and I suddenly woke up screaming. Literally screaming. I was also shaking and panting, as though I had just had the worst nightmare possible. #1 held me close and I eventually calmed down. She took me outside before bed and I was perfectly normal. But she sent a quick message to Dr. C to tell her we would be coming in first thing. I had a quiet night, and then had another episode at around 6am.
Dr. C examined me very thoroughly and also did a exhaustive blood panel. I am fine. Nothing to raise any alarm bells. So, she and #1 got their thinking hats on. Already from the time I was a puppy, I snored very loudly. Dr. C had looked inside my mouth and told #1 that my soft palate seemed unusually long, that it wasn't a problem at the time and might go away as I grew. Fast forward almost three years. I snore louder than ever and Dr. C is wondering whether it might now be causing a kind of sleep apnea when I am deeply asleep, making me feel as though I am suffocating. The other possibility is some kind of neurological "incident" similar to an epileptic fit. But #1 has seen dogs having epileptic fits and this is nothing like one, plus it only happens when I am asleep.
Dr. C called VetRef, the referral veterinary hospital where Benny had his polyp removed last May and, amazingly, they were able to offer an appointment this afternoon. So, #1 is taking me, along with Ms. N. It's almost two hours away by car so she will be glad of the company. I will probably have to stay at VetRef for a couple of days, after they do whatever they must do.
I would appreciate it if you could cross some paws for me, pals!
Tama-Chan: So, as you know, I am not only Queen of this house, but I am also a generous 13 years of age. I am getting a little creaky, just like my #1, but, just like her, I can still go get'em!
Ollie: Woofs, Everyone Ollie here! #1 has taken some nice and very manly portraits of me recently and I thought I would share them with you.
Benny: Mgghhhhheowwwww! So, the Christmas saga continues with a different collar but (phew...) no hat. I kind of like this one!
The Big V: #1 is coming to se me today. I hope she's bringing apples and carrots!
Have a great week everyone!
Tama-Chan: We're already moe than halfway through December! Things are heating up on this virus front in Europe, so it's a good thing #1 doesn't have any plans to go anywhere for now. We can snuggle in and snuggle up.
For my first photo today, I have this:
I have been snuggling with #1, as usual.
