#1 here. Today marks a week since we lost our Tommy, the soul of our family. It has been a difficult week for all of us, but we also have much to be thankful for.
The first thing we are thankful for is that our Tommy endured minimal suffering. I personally will always be thankful that I was actually here, and able to be with him during his last days and as he started on his final journey.
The second thing that we are thankful for is all of you and the love and support you have brought us. You have sustained us through a very dark time. Thank you.
The third thing we are thankful for is that into the giant void left by Tommy will step an abandoned dog whom someone else has thrown away like garbage. We do not know yet when this will happen, but happen it will.
And finally, I am thankful for my three Chans who have kept me focused and well-loved this past week.
Not many photos have been taken over the past week, but here are each of the Chans.

We will be posting intermittently for a little while, until we are ready to face the world full on again. Our apologies also for not commenting much during this time.
Take your time healing... even all the way over in California, I can feel the depth of your loss. Because it is a little bit ours too.
ReplyDeleteWhen you lose a great friend, it is important to allow yourself time to grieve. The Chans will help you with that and you can help them.
ReplyDeleteWE send comforting purrs.

We totally understand, it takes time but it still hurts. Hugs from all of us.
ReplyDeleteYou know that Angel Tommy is picking his replacement for you, and he'll send him/her along when he knows the time is right.
ReplyDeleteWe know that Tommy will guide the right dog to you when the time is right. It's great to see that the Chans are doing well and we know there are probably extra snuggles with #1 too.
ReplyDeleteTake the time to grieve, you need it to heal your soul. The right dog, at the right time. Looking forward to a new addition sometime.
