Violette: Neigh, Dear Friends! Where do I start? I feel as though #1 and I are waking from the most wonderful dream! We had the most perfect of days yesterday at the Fête du Cheval Percheron. The sun shone brightly all day. We had a wonderful team of three teenage boys (from the gipsy camp at the bottom of our slope) who prepared me, cared for me, and made sure I looked just perfect all day long.
Here I am, being ridden side-saddle by Ms. L:
This tiny little girl, Marie, fell in love with me when I still lived alone in the field, and she still loves me now!
And look! So proud to be carrying #1 on my back, both of us in purple!
Here we are in the final parade, at the end of the day:
And here we are, with #1 and our fabulous "Team Violette"!
We just had the best, best time. I was good as gold all day and made everyone really proud. #1 kept telling me that I am the best girl ever!
