Tama-Chan: We are posting rather late today as #1 and Tommy had to make a return trip to the vet's this morning. After seeming to get better, Tommy had a bit of a relapse, refusing all food again this morning. When we got there, Dr. C took his temperature and it was 39.9C/104F. This time, she did a complete blood panel on him and everything is looking fine. His white blood cells are just over the high end of the normal range but that barely registers, and there is nothing obvious in the breakdown either. In fact, Dr. C said she hadn't seen blood panel results so good in a while. His heart also sounds fine and his output is normal. He is a little seized up so she thinks he has an upper respiratory infection of sorts. He is now on antibiotics, plus something to line his stomach. #1 is obviously worried as she is due to leave on Friday for a few days, although she knows that Ms. A will look after him as well as she would, having raised him from birth.
Here are some pics of Tommy from today. First at the vet's:
And then from his short walk today, after being hand-fed chicken breast:
We would appreciate any purrs or woofs you might send our way. We really need our Tommy to be back to his high-energy self soonest!
Since my name is on this post, here is a token picture of me too:
Sending hugs and prayers for Tommy!
