Tommy's Thankful Thursday

Tom: There is so much to be thankful for, even in difficult times. Both #1 and I feel thankful in the mornings when we look down on our house from the fields, with the misty hills behind it.

And I am so thankful for my long romps in the fields, and having a #1 who is always willing to play with me:

I am thankful for my kitties who love me and whom I take care of...

And #1 says she is grateful that there are people in the world such as Dame Daphne Sheldrick whose autobiography she has just finished reading. It is called "An African Love Story: Love, Life and Elephants" and is the most amazing account of her life and work with elephants in Kenya. She runs the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust which operates an orphanage in Nairobi for elephants and rhinos. The work they do is quite amazing and the insight into the wonder of elephants out of this world.

The lady says she will have to check out that book. She likes non-fiction/biographies, so that is right up her alley.

We think you are so lucky to have a #1 who makes sure that you have so many reasons to be thankful, Tommy. We are thankful to have you as our friends.
