Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Our #1 was a little miffed yesterday because our Monday post ended up publishing on Sunday, even though she thought she had clearly scheduled it. Ah well. It's not the end of the world... On the other hand, we are told that the end of the world may be on its way today...

I like to keep up with world affairs and regularly check the BBC website. Our friends across the Pond are having an election today, it would seem. It is not our business to get involved in other countries' affairs, but we do share the dismay of most Europeans at the hatred on display, and at the "Ayatollah" mindset being shown by some, something which would be considered totally unacceptable over here. We have found The Economist to be intelligent in its analysis of the situation, and all we can say at this  stage is may the best candidate win!

Pondering such weighty thoughts requires great concentration...

And serious reflection...

Leading to utter exhaustion!

  1. Those kind of things are very exhausting. Good idea to have a super nap. Have a super day.

  2. You might want to check the timezone of your blog - it might be incorrect. :D

We will be voting early this morning!

  5. Now when Äiti gets the scheduling wrong we just totally blame her incompetence and old brain, but maybe there are some genuine gremlins in blogger.......

And what a weighty matter you are pondering! We are very happy to be European cats, and have indeed been horrified by some of the things we have read while peering over Äiti's shoulder (while trying to distract her of course).

We will be sleeping away until the results come in, Äiti says it might be another case of hanging chads - whatever that is.

  6. I am ashamed for my country for the campaigns of both candidates. I am also disgusted by the derisive behavior of far too many enthusiastic and outspoken people regarding the election. I wound up un-friending about 3/4 of my facebook friends and family without prejudice. If they were hateful, mean and calling names... off with your head. Very unattractive and mean-spirited. A line from The American Presiden, one of my favorite movies, keeps springing to mind... Sydney Ellen Wade: "How do you have patience for people who claim they love America, but clearly can't stand Americans?"

I can only imagine what the rest of the world thinks about this nation. It makes me mourn for the great nation were once were. Truly.

  7. My human is heading to the polling booth today! The whole world is looking at our presidential election with concern (as well they should be), but she is more interested in the local measures and propositions, which REALLY make a difference in her life! Her presidential vote doesn't really matter since she is not in a "swing state," although she is certainly voting for her guy!

  9. I agree, naps should be enforced today, after voting of course.. but then naps until tomorrow! We don't need minute to minute updates on what one percent of voters have decided... Just tell me tomorrow! MOL
    Sleep well kitty!

Politics can be so nasty and so stupid. We hope things go well for Poland (and us too).

  14. Tama-chan, you look lovely, as usual.

Re: PollyTicks. Most of us are just stuck where we were born, with little chance of changing things or getting out. Lots of people are hoodwinked over here, not seeing that both parties are two sides of the same coin. And the coin is a wooden nickel.
