Snuggles on Sunday - The Late Edition

Tama-Chan: We're pretty late posting today. #1 has been rather busy with a lot of entertaining, and the day has just flown by. Still, we didn't want to deprive our friend completely of Snuggles on Sunday, so here we are!

At my end, the kits still like to snuggle up to me...

...although they do pretty well with one another:

They also know how to work their charm on others by now. GoGo-Chan totally charmed one of our visitors this week:

and Bibi-Chan snuggles up to #1 every chance he gets:

It's been pretty much snuggles as usual for Tommy and Sei-Chan...

... but she did also spend some time snuggling with Yuu-Chan!

And although they're not actually snugging yet, Tommy and Yuu-Chan have been hanging together:

That's it for our Sunday Snuggle round-up. Please join us tomorrow for Manly Monday when we will have a surprise guest!

SEIturday SNOWturday - The Light Edition!

Sei-Chan: Guess what? We got some snow this morning! #1 panicked and immediately hopped in the car with Tommy and went shopping, in case a lot came down, but it only snowed enough to make it look pretty! When she went out later, she took this photo, and said it was dedicated to me, her little Princess!

And staying on the subject of flowers, she bought me a large bunch of multi-coloured tulips for my birthday. I love tulips and immediately went to admire them up-close!

I had a wonderful first birthday and would like to thank all of you for your good wishes! I feel fortunate to have such good friends, and a warm and loving family. One of the best things for me is just to hang out with them!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..............

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

Fun and Fangs on Friday!

Hi! It's us kittens again! We have been having a lot of fun playing this past week, and thought we would share some of our best wrestling shots with you!

Actually, we decided that GoGo-Chan is the one with the best fangs!

and in conclusion, here is one of all of us together in a sleepy scrum!

Have a great weekend everybody!

SEI-CHAN IS A BIRTHDAY GIRL!

Sei-Chan: Yes, today is my FIRST BIRTHDAY! I came into the world a year ago all on my own since, very unusually, I had no siblings. We even have a picture of me when I was a day old!

In the past year, I have gone from that to this:

#1 calls me her "Golden Girl" and says that I just glow in the sunshine! She also says I have the biggest, prettiest eyes ever! I suspect that #1 loves me... Anyway, I would like to take you on a little trip down memory lane to celebrate my first year.

I first met #1 when I was just three weeks old. I came to visit with my mummy, Viña del Mar. Some of you may remember this photo:

You may remember that there was a little bit of a gender mix-up in the early days, so I was known as "Sir" at the time...

When I was four weeks old, my mummy and I came to stay with #1, supposedly for just a few days, but we settled in so well to the "kittening" room in the back that we stayed there for two months! Here is #1's favourite photo of me and my mummy:

#1 played with me a lot as I didn't have siblings to play with:

My mummy took very good care of me...

,,, but we eventually had to say goodbye. She went home to Uncle U's and I joined Tama-Chan and Tommy. Tama-Chan is a really nice big sister:

and I soon relaxed into my new surroundings...

and became best friends with Tommy:

Life has been good for me. We got our wonderful cat run built last June and enjoyed it all summer and into the autumn. And then, Yuu-Chan arrived in October and the two of us quickly became known as "The Terrible Reds."

Tama-Chan hasn't been around for a while, and there are all kinds of rumours circulating about what has been going on in the back room. I have a feeling the coming months will have a lot of surprises in store, but I know I can deal with anything now that I am a big girl!

Thank you for celebrating my birthday with me!

Tommy rolled.....

.... in the neighbour's manure pile yesterday afternoon. Tommy was such a mess that the usual washing off with the garden hose was not even a possibility. So Tommy got put in the tub and had a proper shower and shampoo, with WARM water!

Tommy loves warm water showers!

Followed by blankie time on the sofa!

PS from #1: For those of you who are perplexed, spaniels often love water...

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: I must say that I am beginning to think that this "kitten" thing is a little over-rated... My four are now huge (all around 900 grammes or two pounds!) and they do not stop running all day! I keep getting attacked....

and sometimes I have to hold them down and teach them to behave:

I am dreaming of lying in the sun, in my basket, out in the run.....

But it's grey and cold out there today. #1 says we have been promised sunshine tomorrow, but it will be cold again, so it will only be a short stay. Sigh....

Manly Monday with Tommy and Yuu!

Tom: For today's Manly Monday feature, I would like to present... "Dancing With Frisbee"!

Yuu-Chan: ... And I would like to present "Roller-Ball"!

In other news, I am very happy to report that, after El Tigre's adoption on Saturday, we learned that my brother El Jem had also been adopted! It took him a long time to find a forever home and we are just so pleased for him! He will be living in Paris! We have no recent photos of him, but this is what he looked like when he was little:

We hope he will be very happy with his new family!

Snuggles on Sunday - A Forever Home?

Yuu-Chan: I shall be your host on this edition of Snuggles on Sunday. I want to start off by telling you about my little buddy, El Tigre. Yesterday evening, he went off to what we hope will be his forever home. There is another cat there, a very shy Siamese called Kaze (that's "Kah-Zay" - wind in Japanese) and all will depend on whether El Tigre will be able to befriend him. He did a pretty good job with us, so we are keeping all paws crossed. Here he is, just before he left us, with his new Mum. Ms. N, and his new big brother, Gabriel.

We told you how incredibly snuggly El Tigre is, and he spent a lot of his time here snuggling with #1:

We really miss the little guy, but we hope he won't be back, much as I like watching over him!

Tama-Chan is a big fan of Gabriel's and spent some time suggling with him yesterday:

Her kits are now expert snugglers too!

As for Sei-Chan and Tommy, what can I tell you? Same old, same old, week in, week out!
