MAX TOUR STORIES - AN INTERLUDE IN THE PERCHE!

Today, we are absolutely delighted to be part of a global movement to take our friend MAXDOG on a worldwide tour of many of his blogging friends, giving him an opportunity to meet and play with the friends he has made, and to see lots of sites. You have been such a great tour guide, MAX, and now it is our turn!

Welcome to FRANCE and the PERCHE portion of the MAX TOUR STORIES!


We know that you are going to have a great deal of adventure ahead of you today, Max, so we decided to concentrate on just one place which we feel is representative both of our town/region and of Tommy. So, we are inviting you to join Tommy in a romp around The CHATEAU ST. JEAN in Nogent-le-Rotrou, capital of the Perche. Building of the dungeon started in the early 11th century and further parts were added through the 16th century. The original builder of the castle was the Earl of Rotrou who had distinguished himself in the First Crusade. The castle was only conquered once, by the English, during the 100 Years' War. The moat has never been filled and makes a perfect playground for athletic woofies!



Of course, we could not possibly let you come all the way here and not meet the TTs, Tama's Terrors. So, we hope you don't mind a serious dose of their attention and cuddles!


We know how rowdy that lot can be.... BE STRONG! And have lots and lots of fun on your tour!!!

    WHEW!!! WHAT A FANTASTIC SURPRISE THIS HAS BEEN TODAY!!!
    (Mom has been watching the computer screen with her tongue hanging out interspersed with a wide smile on her face)

    Tom-Tom...thank you for taking me to that splendid castle. It was super to lie there and take in the whole atmosphere of that historic place. What an awesome structure!

    ...as for the rest of you kitties...I have got my fair share of feline pampering today!...you guys were marvellous! Thank goodness you didn't steal my giraffe!

    I just know Max loved touwing the Pewche wif you and then that hilawious and fun time wif the little TTs..He is such a patient fellow, I know he loved having them climb all ove him, hehehehe

    We are sure Max loved seeing the castle - nice history it has. And we just knew he would love to snuggle and cuddle with all the kitties. We know how he loves his stuffies.
