Saturday with Sei-Chan and a Farewell

Sei-Chan: Hello everyone! Thanks for all the nice comments on how fast I'm growing! I'm enjoying my increasing athletic ability, and also life in general. #1 says that I'm a very "Paws On" kitten, who likes to be involved in everything.

I would like to tell you about what I consider to be a perfect day. Firstly, it is always a good idea to stretch first thing in the morning, and a woofie brother is a very useful accessory in this:

Once I've finished my stretches, I give Tommy a quick cuddle to say thank you:

The day is spent in fun and games with my sister:

and we are both very diligent about helping #1 with her work:

Where is she supposed to sit? Well that's a person problem, isn't it?

And at the end of the day, I like to curl up on #1's lap for a well-deserved nap and cuddle:

Now, on a much less joyous note, #1 has asked me to be the one to bid a fond farewell on behalf of all of us to a good and dear friend who went to Rainbow Bridge on May 31.

FITZROY was a very handsome grey kitty who was adopted by Ms. J in Prince Edward Island (Canada) in 1997. He lived a life of great comfort and love with his sister, Bitz, being admired by all and sundry and occasionally agreeing to a cuddle or two. But then his body turned against him and he suffered from a variety of thyroid, respiratory and renal problems, and simply could not fight it all anymore. We never knew you, Fitzie, but #1 was very fond of you, and we would like to send our most heartfelt condolences to Ms. J and Bitz. We know he is in great company at Rainbow Bridge where Sen-Chan led his welcoming committee.

  1. It looks like you've completely taken over the place, Sei-Chan!

  2. Our sincere condolences on the loss of your sweet friend, Fitzroy. We know that Sen-Chan will be very glad show him around and tell him where all the best treats are!

  3. We are sorry to hear of the passing of your friend. We know our angel babies will have been there with Sen-Chan to bid him welcome, and lead him to the best spots at the Bridge.

Sei-Chan, you are growing into such a beautiful young ladycat:)

  4. Oh yes!

Woo've gone from the little 'boy' in the bakhk room to the ruler of the entire kingdom!

Sorry fur the loss of your khytty pal -

PeeEssWoo: Tommy woo are just tooooo patient!

  5. The little red is the one who runs the house!

  6. My condolences to Miss J and Bitz. Furry friends touch us so. I'll ask Q to join Sen-chan in welcoming Fitzroy.

Sei-chan, your Saturday seems very busy. I hope you take a lot of lovely naps to recharge yourself!

  7. You must be the one in charge, Sei-Chan! I'm so sorry to hear about Fitzroy.

  8. So sorry to hear about your friend. We bet he will meet other old friends there. Sen-Chan will probably give him a great tour and show him around.
    Ernie & Sasha

  9. Oh Sei-Chan ya'll are such good helpers! Sorry about your friend, we know you'll miss him.

  10. First, thank you for your kind comment on my blog.

Second, I am so sorry about the early passing of Sen-Chan. I've lost two pets in my lifetime who were young. I was not prepared to say good-bye and found their loss to be particularly heart-wrenching.

Third, please pass along my condolences to the people who loved that sweet, gray kitty. In my opinion, a hundred years is not long enough to spend time with someone you love.

  11. Hi Sei-Chan
