Da Beebs' Souvenir Saturday

Rainbow Beebs: As you know, there were guests at Poupounette Central yesterday. The last time Ms. N had visited, there was Tommy, Tama, Sei-Chan and Yuu-Chan. She actually never even got to meet me and Da Genj. She remembered Yuu-Chan in particular so fondly. He had only just arrived at Poupounette Central Central and was still little and healthy. Anymeow, #1 decide that she would share some pics of today, in honour of Ms. N. These pics were all taken between 2015 and 2018:

Every rime she looks through photos of me, #1 says the same thing: "Those EYES!"

V&H Vendredi

Violette: Pretty Neighs, Everyone! How have you all been? It's been quite a while since there was a Percheron Post! So, the farrier came on Wednesday, and so did #1, and she was able to take some photos.  I have to tell you right up front that I was the best behaved for the farrier, and I got extra cuddles and treats from #1!

It was a big day for my little sis, Heloise, as she got her first ever shoes! #1 and Ms. C were wondering whether she would panic at the smoke and the hammering of nails, but she did not even flinch! Just as though she had been getting shoes put on for years! She's a cool one, that girl!

As for The Big V, he was a bit naughty and had to be told off several times by the farrier for trying to rest all his weight on him.

Mama Hotesse could have done with a trim but she was not in the mood, so we left her alone

Oh, and guess what? Ms. C's mare, Ursula, had a cute little colt! His name is Malin and he is already a little scamp!

Thankful Thursday - I got to be in the photo!

Ollie: Woofs, Everyone! Ollie Here. I am very thankful for the wonderful day I had yesterday! We left the house just after 7am to go to Ms. C's as the farrier said he would be there at 8am. I spent the morning playing with my daughter, Lily, whilst #1 attended to the horses.

The farrier left at noon, and we then headed north to the Haras du Pin, affectionately known as the "Versailles of the Horse." #1 was taking some important visitors there to have initial meetings for what we hope will be a long-term collaboration between France and Japan in the training of draft horses. #1 had told them in advance that se would be bringing me along and they said it was no problem. I sat quietly under the table whilst they were having their meeting. When that was over, we went outside to take some souvenir photos, and I got to be in them too!

It was a real honour for a woofie like me to be included in this souvenir photo! Oh, and we finally got home a little before 7pm. It was a long day, but a very fun day!

Wild Boys on Wednesday

Benny: Meyowggghhhhh! Benny here! It's so much fun to have a little brother to beat up on wrestle with! Thanks, #1 for little Momo! We spend a good portion of each day doing this:

And when we're done, we often like to lie on the terracotta floor as it is cool!

#1's afternoon trip to Paris yesterday went like clockwork. She is going to be gone again today, this time all day, and she is taking Ollie with her. The farrier is coming for the horses in the morning, and then she needs to take her Japanese visitors to another meeting. It's supposed to be quite a bit cooler tomorrow, so we'll survive!

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Hello, Dear Friends! I hope you are well. We are very, very hot here. We are mainly staying downstairs, where it's quite a bit cooler, and conserving energy. I have, however, been spending quite a bit of time by the open window in the kitchen.

A simple little dangle on one of the kitchen chairs:

And some GloBats!

#1 is  going to Paris for the afternoon today as she has some in-person meetings she can't miss. Mr. G is away dog-sitting a pup whose owners are on vacation, and our neighbours are away, so she is leaving at noon, and hoping to be back a little after 6pm. Not too bad.

Manly Monday

Ollie: It is HOT here! Very hot. In fact, we have been told that our temps will get close to 40°C tomorrow, which is 100°F. Remember that we have no AC, so it's an interesting experience. We do have a bunch of fans, and the floor is terracotta downstairs, where the temperatures is always several degrees cooler. So, we will make do. But there's not much activity going on! Even in the evening, it's still warm and I don't run around the way I normally do. I usually just potter around a bit...

And then just sit quietly.

On the other paw, the heat doesn't seem to have slowed down our two young kitties, Benny and Momo,  who still spend a good part of the day up to mischief together. Here they are behind the "sudare" blind in the bedroom:

And hanging out downstairs:

Sharing is caring, right?

Momo is also into big time relaxing!

Wishing all a good week!

Some Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: Let me start by apologising, Dear Friends, for the lack of a post yesterday. #1 came back to a big pile of work and that, combined with the lingering effects of her infection, sapped all of the energy. She has not taken much in the way of photos since returning either, so we are definitely short, but we wanted to do a post, and also to get back to commenting.

I have to tell you that our champion cuddlers at the moment are those two crazy boys, Benny and Momo. Half the time, I'm not sure where they are snuggling or trying to kill each other, but they do provide entertainment!

The little "Marshmallow" as several people have been calling him, has yet to join Ollie and Benny on #1's bed.

I do occasionally visit in the mornings, as I find that there is a special quality morning to snuggles with #1:

Not wanting to give Ms. C anything nasty, #1 has refrained from going to see the horses until she tests negative. But I told her she should share a pic from last week at the Hartpury Festival of Dressage. You see, she met up again with the fabulous British rider, Charlotte Dujardin, whom she had seen in Tokyo, and they got to take a picture together! So here it is!

Last but not least, we wanted to share a picture of one of Ireland's best para-dressage riders, Kate Kerr-Horan, with her adorable pal Indy. #1 also met Kate in Tokyo and has since seen her at a couple of other shows:

Hopefully, we'll have horsy snuggle pics next week!
