Singin' Sunday!

Tama-Chan: YES, we're singin' at The Poupounette today! Singin' with joy because our #1 is back! She had a very smooth trip (except for giving a 1 out of 10 to "entry systems" at the airport in Paris - hundreds of people waiting in the EU line-up and one person processing...) and got back in good form. Ms. A, Mr. D and Tommy were at the train station to meet her and Tommy got major cuddles on the one-hour ride back home!

My Beebs was the first one to throw himself at #1 when she got home, but we were all in there pretty quickly. Needless to say, she did us proud whilst she was away. This is (most of) our stash:

There were lots and lots of treats for us, as well as some toys. Tomy got treats, new balls and new stuffies. The Vs got a new headcollar and mane comb, and there was even something for our wild bird friends! She gets 10 out of 10!

Oh, and here is one of the Winnie's Wish toys. Isn't it just amazing?

I have been feeling very kittenish and playing up a storm since she got back!

Tommy has been so happy to have her back for his walks!

This morning, we had to bid a sad farewell to Ms. A and Mr. D. They were simply, utterly wonderful to us. We know they have lots of other plans but we are crossing every Poupounette paw available that they will come back again. Here are the boys last night, waiting for pieces of freshly roasted chicken!

As you know, #1 is leaving us again on Tuesday (Tommy's Ms. A is coming to look after us!) but we are going to enjoy every second of her whilst she is here!

SenSEItional SEIturday!

Sei-Chan: I hope I am not "putting the cart before the horse" as I am dictating this before #1's return, but she is supposed to arrive home today, and that will indeed make this SEIturday both SenSEItional and ExSEIptional!

Ms. A and Mr. D have taken so many lovely photos of me this week that I don't even know where to start...

Here I am with my favourite ratsie. He has a real mink tail and was a gift to us from a friend of #1's in Japan:

I have to be vigilant and protect him from interlopers...

Which is of course exhausting work.

Here I am contemplating coming in from the run:

No one lurking???

Back on my "Zabuton" cushion, I also quite enjoy hanging out with Mr. Daruma:

He's mine!

Sweet Tommy is keeping watch for #1 outside. I hope she gets home soon!

Flights and Friends on Friday

Genji: Hi everyone, the Shining Prince here! Today is the day #1 leaves Prince Edward Island and heads back to us! She has two planes to catch, the first from PEI to Montreal, and the second from Montreal to Paris, and then she catches a high-speed train to Le Mans where Ms. A, Mr. D and Tommy will pick her up. May we ask for some crossed paws that everything will be on time and she will get home smoothly?

Now, as to friends.... I was not yet born but some of you may remember that almost two years ago, when #1 last went to Japan, Ms. L and Mr. S from PEI came to house-sit for the Poupounette Gang. They were wonderful with the Gang. They had two kitties of their own, Calvin and Hobbes, and we were so sad when they lost Calvin quite unexpectedly to a raging case of the Evil C.

On Monday, #1 went to have dinner at their home. She was looking forward to seeing them again and to meeting Hobbes in person, but there was a big surprise waiting for her!

Please meet Sami-Chan (the red guy) and Sama-Chan (the Champagne girl) who have been named "Chan" in our honour!

And there is a tale to tell! Ms. L and Mr. S first adopted Sami-Chan from a nearby farm, but he got out of the door within 48 hours and was not to be found anywhere. There are coyotes and foxes out there and he is only two months old. After looking and looking, they gave up and eventually adopted his littermate, Sama-Chan. And then... Sami-Chan returned, thin and filthy but alive! The little guy had survived on his own outside for almost two weeks! Talk about a survivor! He is now reunited with his sister, and these two will be indoor kitties from now on!

Here are #1 and Ms. L and the PEI Chans:

#1 with little Sama-Chan:

and with Sami-Chan:

And let us not forget Hobbes, who is not at all sure about the two little interlopers yet... Here he is getting some loving from Mr.S:

Hobbes was VERY interested in #1's backpack on which he doubtless whiffed some genuine French Chans!

I think those little Island Chans are very lucky to have found such a loving home, don't you?

Almost as lucky as me...

Tommy on Thursday!

Tom: As has been previously mentioned, I have ben enjoying going on lots of adventures with Ms. A and Mr. D and I have many photos to share with you today!

Actually, the first batch was taken at home in the garden but I am showing some excellent moves in them!

A few days ago, we all went to a great place with a large pond and I had a lot of fun playing there!

We have also gone several times to another place where there is a big pond and lots of room to run!

As you can see, I am quite recovered from the problems I had before #1 left!

Thanks for all the kind words about Murph yesterday! He is doing very well, and enjoying lots of cuddles from #1. By the way, she went here yesterday:

She picked up some last minute stuff for us, as well as a get-well gift for Murph (a stuffie that has a plastic bottle inside!) and a new ball for Leo. She says she wishes there was a Petsmart here!

Wednesday!

Bibi-Chan: The countdown continues, friends! Today, #1 and Ms. A were on Skype discussing pick-up at the train station when she gets in on Saturday, and considering a Plan B. You should have sen Tommy when he heard #1's voice!

#1 of course is still in Canada, and still spending time with springers Leo and Murphy. Here is Leo, looking very springerish:

And here is #1 with Murphy. Now the Murph had surgery today to remove some fatty cysts. He is recovering well but we would appreciate some purrs and woofs for him to be back to his usual energetic self soonest.

Yep... Murph likes to do laps. Thank goodness Tommy doesn't try as #1 and the chair would probably collapse...

The good news from #1 is that our Winnie's Wish package from Andrea arrived in #1's Canadian postbox yesterday! This is what was in it:

Those feathers look fabulous!!! And t's a great way to support our wonderful friend Chrystal over at Daily Dose!

I have been spending sometime online too, although I play cool when Ms. A comes to investigate...

The girls have been supervising Genji's playtime in the run:

Tommy has been on all kinds of adventures with Ms. A and Mr. D and is going to share pics with you tomorrow. So here is just a preview:

Over in PEI, #1 says it rained a LOT the past couple of days but the sky was really lovely as it started to clear up this morning. She sent us this picture:

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: This is actually our countdown week as #1 will be back on Saturday. We can't wait to see her, but I have to confess that we are going to miss Ms. A and Mr. D. They have been absolutely wonderful to us, and we know that their presence has made it possible for #1 to really enjoy her time in PEI. We are crossing our paws that they will want to come back again...

I have, as usual, been keeping an eye on things:

And also enjoying some time in the run:

After which one needs to clean up properly...

And then it's time to hang out with my sister, Sei-Chan:

All in all, I am feeling quite content!

Manly Monday

Tom: There is no doubt that great weather is very conducive to manly pursuits, and we have been spoiled recently! It is just so much fun to run in the sun!

But then again, a lovely blankie can make a very nice backdrop too!

And sometimes a nice prop can work wonders...

Bibi-Chan: I personally believe in creature comforts...

Although I do also spend time in the run, soaking up the rays:

And a little cuddle never goes amiss...

Gen-Chan: I personally think the manliest activity is playing with feathers!

After which I can settle into one of the hammocks for a good bath!
