Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: I am glad we got a full complement of horsie snuggles in last week because #1 was not able to visit them this week, due to extreme cold and icy roads. She has been getting news and some pics from Ms. C, but no snuggle shots.

I thought I would start today with this fun photo that #1 took yesterday when Mr.G and Ms. N came for tea. She caught Mr. G in the act of photographing Genji. As for Ollie, well...

Mr. G took this nice photo of Genji and #1:

And here is our friend, Ms. M, with "Burrito Genji." She comes when she can to help give Genji his meds, and lots of cuddles!

Next we have this week's shot of me and Ollie. I do love hanging out with him!

#1 got this nice shot of Ollie snuggled up to her in bed one morning:

And #1 and I took some good snuggle selfies!

Remember to snuggle with the ones you love! Especially today, as it Valentine's Day!

Snowy Saturday!

Ollie: Woofs, everyone! This week, we are taking a little break from oir regular Souvenir Saturday post. We had a (for us) serious snowfall on Wednesday and I have been loving it. #1 took a bunch of photos that we want to share with you:

Oh! What's that?

Whee!

This is so much fun!

This is my "Snowbeard" pic!

Later on, the sun came out!

I love snow!

Family Friday

Hotesse: Lovely neighs, everyone! For this week's Family Friday, #1 wanted me to show you these nice pics of me and my two daughters:

I am on the left in the pictures. On the right is my daughter, Violette, born in 2009, and in the middle is my daughter Heloise, my last-born, from 2017. Between 1999 and 2017, I gave birth to 10 foals, four boys and six girls. Three were black and seven grey. My first-born became quite a famous stallion, and he fathered 75 foals! So, I have lots of grandchildren and great-grandchildren I don't even know! Another one of my boys found a good home in Germany thanks to #1, and two of my girls belong to someone #1 knows. One boy and one girl have crossed the Bridge, as has my first-born boy. So that leaves one boy and one girl whose fate we don't know. You know what? That is pretty good going for a horse Mama. Most of us say goodbye and never see our foals again after weaning. I am enjoying my retirement with two of my girls and I am so happy!

Here are the three of us munching hay together:

Thank you for reading my words. It means a lot to me. Here is one more pic of me and my girls:

And back at Poupounette Central, here is a shot of Ollie and Genji hanging together:

Thankful Thursday

#1 here. We have a slightly unusual Thankful Thursday today, as it is a post about thanks we have received rather than what we are thankful for ourselves (although we are very thankful to have received the thanks!).

Some of you may remember that Andrea of Celestial Kitties ran an auction late last year to help Winnie's Wish. We had had a bit of a windfall and liked the look of a very cozy cat bed we saw, but we realised that sending it across the Pond would cost a fortune. So, we decided to buy it and gift ti to good friends in Prince Edward Island, Canada, The Island Chans! Well, it took an absolute age but they finally received the bed early this week! You may remember that out gorgeous ginger buddy, Louis, had to have some major surgery on his leg recently after a bad fall, so he was happy to have a nice new bed!

His brother Yuki also liked the bed!

And older brother Sami thought the two "kittens" were bed hogs! So he opted for the BIG bed!

We are thankful that we were able to help out Winnie's Wish and make our Island Chan friends happy!

Wednesday Whinnies

Heloise: Filly Neighs, Everyone! Black Beauty here! #1 mentioned that we had all had hooficures last week. Right now, we just get our hoofs trimmed. No shoes for anyone. The farrier started with Mama Hotesse but she almost didn't need anything done:

Look at this nice mother-daughter pic of Violette and Mama!

It was my turn next:

I was a good girl for the farrier! In this next pic, you can see me and Violette, patiently waiting her turn:

And then it was Violette's turn!

And when it was over, we all got our treat buckets!

The weather wasn't great, but at least it wasn't raining! The Big V told you about misbehaving for the farrier, so we won't tell you anymore!

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Greetings, Dear Friends! As #1 is spending so much time in her study working, I have been taking up my supervisory position in the hammock by the bird feeder window. From there, I can keep a close watch on #1:

I like the hammock because it is a great venue for practicing my dangles! I always start with something simple, like this:

Then I get a bit more adventurous...

And then, I just let rip! Here is a four leg and tail vertical dangle for you:

I have to tell you, those are pretty exhausting!

We're expecting snow today!

Manly Monday

Genji: Mee-YOW Everyone! Genji here. I have been feeling pretty good since #1 started giving me that CBD oil stuff. We're not sure whether it's coincidence or the oil, but we'll take it anyway! On the subject of taking things, #1 says she does not understand how I will sit perfectly still, with my paw nicely held out, when she does my nails, and yet its WWIII every time she wants to give me my meds. I'm not telling...

I really like this pic of me she took a couple of days ago:

Don't you think I look like an international cat of mystery?

Here is another recent shot. #1 says I look a bit like a thug in this one. I don't think that's a nice thing to say!

Ollie: I helped the farrier when he came to give the Vs and Hs hooficures! Here I am with Miss Violette:

Look how shiny (and curly!) my coat is! #1 says that's because she mixes cod liver oil with my food a couple of times a week.

Vidock: Handsome Neighs, EveryFriend! Yup, we got our hooficures last week. I was told off by both the farrier and Ms. C for being a badly behaved boy. Can you believe that?

Have a good week, everyone. We are supposed to get snow and some very cold temps this week.
