Manly Monday

Genji: Little Meows, Everyone! I need to ask for some purrs, if you have a few to spare, and maybe some crossed paws too? I had a not great weekend, feeling nauseous and not eating. I did perk up a bit on Sunday evening, but #1 doesn't think I'm out of the woods yet, and I may get bundled off to Dr. C if things don't start to improve today. I am sure all your positive energy would help. The photos are by Mr. G who came to see me yesterday.

Ollie: I'm crossing my paws that my little bro feels better soonest. My photo is also by Mr. G.

Vidock: I send neighs that the little guy will be all better very soon.

UPDATE from Genji: I did end up going to see Dr. C this morning. I was quite unwell last night, very lethargic, and #1 was really worried. Dr.C thinks that I have a gastric ulcer that is making me very uncomfortable. The way to deal with it is a course of Amoxicillin, and ongoing low-does prednisone and stomach liner, plus a couple of days of an anti-nausea medication. I got the first two days of antibiotic and today's anti-nausea and prednisone by injection. #1 will ask Ms. N and Ms. M to help give me the other meds through this week, as I am notoriously difficult to pill. If all else fails, I will go back to Dr.C's for the 2-day shots a couple of times. I did have a bite to eat when I got back, though! Thanks for the purrs!

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: Welcome to our first SoS post for 2021. We are all hoping the whole year will be filled with snuggles, and that the humans will be able to return to something more normal.

Last week, we were a little short on the horsie snuggles, so we will begin with them, starting with Miss Violette!

Miss Violette has just been moved to a new field, and she has a new boyfriend! She will tell you all about him next week.

#1 took a great selfie with Heloise!

Snuggles with Mama Hotesse are always wonderful:

And Vidock is always up for a snuggle!

#1 actually told me that I was getting quite pushy whenever she sits down at the laptop in the living room. I'm not being pushy! I am taking my rightful place!

When we had guests last Sunday I snuggled a lot with #1's cousin, Mr.P:

Genji snuggled with Ms. N, Mr. G's Mum (Photo by Mr. G):

And also with Mr. G:

Here is one of me showing Ollie how to make biscuits:

And an early morning scene, with Genji and Ollie on #1's bed:

We mean to continue as we have started. Happy snuggling, everyone!

Super Saturday!

Ollie: Woof, Woof, Everyone! And Happy New Year. This week, we are giving our Rainbow Gang a rest and #1 has told me that I can tell you about my new friend, Jarod!

Jarod is a 6-year Australian Shepherd. He has been going on walks around here since when TOWCB Tommy was around, but he was pretty aggressive towards other dogs, and so his owner kept him on a leash. Last summer, she ended up having him neutered and he has become a lot friendlier, so when we met in the big field a couple of days ago, this is what happened:

It's great having a new friend! I hope we meet Jarod again soon!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

You all know our close link with Japan. In Japan, 2021 is the Year of the Bull and there is a tradition of sending new year cards. #1 always makes a Japanese New Year card, known as Nengajyo, to send to her friends in Japan. Here is ours for this year:

With regard to the photo, it was taken by #1. Do any of you remember our cow friend, Wowie? This guy was her boyfriend! He is such a sweet guy, and we do love his hair!

For 2021, we wish for the disappearance of this awful virus or, at the very least, real protection through large volume vaccination. We wish for some return to "normal" whatever that may have been, and the possibility to go places and see people. In the meantime, we wish for all our friends to stay safe!

Tama's Thankful Thursday

Tama-Chan: As I mentioned on Tuesday, I am back to do the Thankful Thursday post. We received a wonderful gift from our friends Zorro, Pixie, and their human, Claire, over at The Swiss Cats! It came a number of days before Christmas but # insisted that we wait until Christmas morning to open it. I was on paw to help right from the start.

What do you mean, they're not all mine?

Genji enjoyed the gifts too!

Ollie got some yummy doggy treats too!

We would like to say a big thank you to our dear Swiss friends for always spoiling us!

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Hello, Dear Friends! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I have lots of nice photos to share, and some thanking to do, so #1 says I can have the Thursday post as well.

In the run-up to Christmas, I helped #1 with the wrapping of gifts:

And I looked cute a lot:

And then we had some nice sunpuddles:

Then, on Sunday, Mr. G came over and took some nice pics of me:

It was all quite satisfactory! I shall see you again on Thursday to tell you about some nice gifts we got!
