Thankful Thursday

#1 here again. Do you remember the little girl cat who had been abandoned last autumn in one of the fields near our house, whom I fed for a while before she was eventually adopted by my neighbours? Her name is Phoebe and she has settled in so well. I managed to catch a nice portrait of her the other day. She is just the prettiest thing!

Some of you will need to look away for these next photos, but I am thankful that I managed to save this gorgeous little adder from the clutches of three pussycats who thought he made the perfect toy.

Happy last day of April!

  6. Phoebe sure is a cutie. I'm glad she has a home now. We have lots of garter snakes in our yard and make sure to keep them safe too.

  7. Java Bean: "Ayyy, Lulu and I found a gopher snake the other day! We were barking at it until Mama made us stop and then it left."
Charlee: "Didn't your run-in with the rattlesnake a few years ago teach you anything, Bean?"
Java Bean: "According to Mama, apparently not ..."

  10. I’m glad Phoebe has a place now.

I like snakes, they should keep vermin away.
