Three on Tuesday - It's Ryū-Chan's Birthday!

 

#1 here. After losing Sei-Chan, then Da Beebs, and finally Genji, I adopted Benny and Momo and had just one Abyssinian left at home, the one and only Queen Tama. At the back of my mind, there remained a wish for one more Abyssinian kitten to raise but I wasn't sure how it would happen. Then Jackie, whom I met when she was blogging, introduced me to Vivien who had been a small breeder in the UK, and had moved to Brittany with her cats. One thing led to another and she messaged me one day to say that she was giving up breeding following her last litter of just one boy kitten, and would I be interested in adopting him? I of course said yes and he arrived at Poupounette Central in late July 2023. His official pedigree name was Ultimo de Pippin's Pride, but as all my cats have Japanese names, he quickly became Uryū (Rain Dragon), shorted to Ryū-Chan. Here he is shortly after birth with his Mama, Picccolo ("Pickle"):

He was a real little elf as a baby!

This was on the day he came home!

He settled in very quickly:

Momo and Benny were quick to adopt him:

He hung on to those outsized ears for a while!

Life is never dull with him around!

His ears are now just a tad smaller relative to the rest of his head!

He's always happy to help with chores:

Unlike all of his Aby predecessors, he wriggles so much that it's hard work to clip his claws, and Dr. C does it when he goes in for his shots.
