Sssshhhhhhhhhhh, Everyone. It's me, Benny! I am posting remotely from the town of Angers. I came here yesterday with #1 and our friend, Ms. M. We saw a couple of different doctors and there are several different possibilities regarding the mass in my right ear. The best case scenario is that it is a small polyp that can easily be removed. The worst case is a more complicated polyp or other mass that would require real surgery to remove. So, to figure it out, I am getting a scan this morning, and then the clinic will let #1 know. So, we will update when we have more news.
The clinic is a really busy place, and we spent a lot of time waiting.
We didn't get a shot with Dr. #2. But I have a fun photo to share with you taken yesterday morning, of me with my new buddy, Fernant:
Keep those purrs and woofs coming, please! Oh, and #1 said to say sorry about the lack of commenting. She was exhausted after driving four hours yesterday.
UPDATE: #1 here. I got a call from the vet, Dr. Thibaut, to tell me that they had removed a big polyp from Benny's right ear canal and a small one from his left one, but the scan did not indicate any issues on the other side of the eardrum. They will get what they removed tested, just to make sure, but hopefully, this is the end of the problem. I will go and get him tomorrow morning.
we hope the news will be purr-fect and we hope they are in soon ... did you like angers? we think this place fits to da name LOL
ReplyDeleteOh Benny, I didn't know it was a mass in your ear casing the problem. I hope it is an easily removed polyp. I am sure the doctors will find the best way to remove it so you can soon be back home with #1. I am sending you love, and if I could purr I would do that too. Love also to #1.
ReplyDeleteI"m sending lots and lots of my purrs your way, you sweet little thing. That photo of you with Fernant is hilariously adorable.
ReplyDeleteWe are glad you are in good hands and look forward to your follow-up report. Get yourself back to Poupounette Central quickly!! xx

ReplyDeleteWe're so glad to hear Benny came through his procedure so well. Our paws are crossed that he heals quickly and has no more ear problems.
ReplyDeleteGood news so far!! We are thinking of #1 and hope she can relax this weekend.
ReplyDeleteHugs to all of you!

That sounds like good news so far, hooray for you Benny, we know you're being a good boy.
ReplyDeletePaws crossed there is nothing to these polyps and this is the end of them, Benny! I'm sending lots of healing purrs your way.
ReplyDeleteBenny! Glad the vets were able to help you out; both ears! #1 will be so glad when you are back home again.
ReplyDeletePurrayers and POTP keep coming Benny ! We are so happy for #1's update.
ReplyDeleteBenny and #1, Hope the ear situation is now all settled.
ReplyDeleteExcellent news! We hope everything is now ok. Mom empathizes with #1, living in the middle of nowhere, even a quick trip to the nearest grocery store is a hour each way. Driving wears one out.
ReplyDeleteThis is great news and I hope this will address Benny's ear issues.
ReplyDeletePoor little Benny - so much to go through for a wee one. But we hope this is THE END of the ear problem for him. All paws crossed for a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Ugh. Polyps are such a pain...in the ear, in your case, Benny.
ReplyDeletePOTP for you and we hope you can be totally well ASAP!
