Feline Friday

Sssshhhhhhhhhhh, Everyone. It's me, Benny! I am posting remotely from the town of Angers. I came here yesterday with #1 and our friend, Ms. M. We saw a couple of different doctors and there are several different possibilities regarding the mass in my right ear. The best case scenario is that it is a small polyp that can easily be removed. The worst case is a more complicated polyp or other mass that would require real surgery to remove. So, to figure it out, I am getting a scan this morning, and then the clinic will let #1 know. So, we will update when we have more news.

The clinic is a really busy place, and we spent a lot of time waiting.

We decided to take a selfie:

And then Dr. #1 came and had a look at me. He said I was really cute.

We didn't get a shot with Dr. #2. But I have a fun photo to share with you taken yesterday morning, of me with my new buddy, Fernant:

Keep those purrs and woofs coming, please! Oh, and #1 said to say sorry about the lack of commenting. She was exhausted after driving four hours yesterday.

UPDATE: #1 here. I got a call from the vet, Dr. Thibaut, to tell me that they had removed a big polyp from Benny's right ear canal and a small one from his left one, but the scan did not indicate any issues on the other side of the eardrum. They will get what they removed tested, just to make sure, but hopefully, this is the end of the problem. I will go and get him tomorrow morning.

  2. Oh Benny, I didn't know it was a mass in your ear casing the problem. I hope it is an easily removed polyp. I am sure the doctors will find the best way to remove it so you can soon be back home with #1. I am sending you love, and if I could purr I would do that too. Love also to #1.

  13. Excellent news! We hope everything is now ok. Mom empathizes with #1, living in the middle of nowhere, even a quick trip to the nearest grocery store is a hour each way. Driving wears one out.
