Tama-Chan's Tribute Tuesday

Tama-Chan: As you know, Tuesdays are my day, the day when I tell you what I have been up to. But today, I would like, with #1's help, to pay tribute to a far-away friend who crossed the Rainbow Bridge last Saturday.

Her name was Sora, which means Sky, and she was a Siba-Inu, a native Japanese dog breed. She was lucky to live with Ms.CD who adored her and looked after her the way few dogs are looked after. #1 had met Ms.CD on Facebook, through her horse connections, but, in 2017, she met Ms. CD in person on a trip to Japan, and of course the lovely Sora too! At the time, Sora was already an old lady aged 13 but she loved going for walks, and Ms.CD lived in an area with a lot of greenery and a big park right across the street.

Here are some photos that #1 took on the day they met in May, three years ago.

Here are also some more photos from Ms. CD's Facebook page. Sora also was familiar horses, just like Tommy and Ollie:

When she was younger, she would accompany Ms. CD to work sometimes!

This beautiful photo was taken just a few days before Sora left for the Bridge. She looks so happy! She slipped peacefully away on May 2nd, well into her 16th year.

Sora's life was full of love, and we know she is now running free at the Bridge, young and strong again. We hope she has met Tommy! We send our condolences to Ms. CD on the loss of her beloved friend. You gave Sora-Chan a perfect life. 💙💚💔💛💜

  13. Sora sure was a pretty girl. Mom has met a few Shiba- Inus. They all had tightly curled tails. Sora had a much prettier one. Soft woos and gentle hugs to her family from all of us.
