Far-Off Festival Felines on Friday!


#1 here, reporting from Japan. On Tuesday, I went to one of Tokyo's big festivals. It is called "Tori no Ichi" and it is a very colourful event at which they sell highly decorated bamboo rakes with which people and businesses  will "rake in" money in the coming year. This being Japan, there were lots of cats, and also some dogs, in the rake designs. Here is a selection for you:

  3. How great you got to go to Tori no Ichi! There must have been tons of people. Those bamboo rakes are so pretty :-)

  4. What a creative idea for that festival!!! All our rakes seem to rake in are dirty leaves.
