Violette & Vidock Vendredi

Vidock: Look, Violette! She's back! #1 is back!!!

Are you wondering what we're doing under that hangar? Well, it was raining, as usual, and the farrier came to give us hooficures, so we had to be somewhere dry.

I went first:

And then it was Violette's turn:

It was nice to get our feet done. The farrier said that we needed it. And when it was all over, we got our treat buckets. This is an "after" photo:

And guess what? #1 brought us some apples all the way from Japan! Isn't that just amazing? Here they are before we ate (some of) them:

Aren't those tiny ones cute? #1 said they are called "Princess of The Alps" (after the Japanese Alps).

Tommy Thursday

Tommy: I am really happy to have #1 home after so many trips, but I would be even happier if teh weather was a little less awful. Between #1 not feeling 100% and the almost incessant rain, I have basically had virtually no outdoor time so far this week. Can you believe that? Here is the only outdoor pic #1 managed to take, and that was last weekend:

There has been a lot of this going on:

And remember that nice new monkey stuffie I got?

I fear it has now lost its head...

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Well, I have to tell you, Dear Friends, #1 has impressed us! We did not think that any human being could outdo us cats when it comes to sleeping but, over the last few days, she has proven us wrong! She has slept, and slept, and then slept some more. She says that it is the best remedy by far. At last, a human who understands!

We have of course followed her example:

Of course, I have occasionally done a little supervising too:

Manly Monday

Da Genj: Still cold and rainy at this end, and #1 still in recovery mode, with lots of sleeping and little action. So, we're all taking it easy with her.

And Tommy has a new stuffie!

 Have a great week, everyone!

Some Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: It's cold and raining but happiness reigns at Poupouette Central, now that our #1 is back with us! Our thanks to all of you who left kind messages for her yesterday. I am happy to say she is feeling a lot better. Now, as you can imagine, she hasn't really been able to get back onto full photo-taking mode, so we have just a few pics for you today.

Guess who has been glued to her ever since she has been back?

Da Genj first thing in the morning, as #1 was lying in bed:

Tommy and my Beebs were looking rather sweet last night:

And again this morning:

My Beebs has been sleeping under the covers with #1 but she hasn't been able to get a photo of him yet.

Last but not least, here I am, also snuggling with my Tommy:

We hope to be back into full SoS mode next Sunday!

Softly, Softly Saturday

Tommy: Woofs everyone. #1 returned to us safely yesterday evening. Mr. G went to get her at the airport and they got in around 8pm. However, the utter madness of these last few weeks, the cold she caught, plus the remnants of tiredness from the US trip, mean that she is definitely under the weather. She says she will spend the day in bed, and we shall be offering the very best nursing care!

Finally Friday!

Da Genj: Today is Finally Friday because #1 is finally coming back to us! We can't wait for her to get home.

She did send us this photo of a billboard advertising a cat and bunny café in Tokyo:

Sadly, she did not have the time to stop and explore.

And also this cute kitty who was in an old-fashioned café:

Once she's back, she will hopefully start taking photos of US again!

Tommy's Thankful Thursday

Tommy: Today is Thursday and you know what that means? It maens that tomorrow is Friday, and it is the day when #1 gets back from Japan. Now that is something to be thankful for!

In the meantime, here are a couple of photos of me from the past couple of weeks:

I have been spending a lot of time with Fernant. It's good to have good pals.

And we would like to wish all our American friends a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Not Quite Wordless Wednesday

A poster all over Tokyo for Akita Prefecture, where the Akita dog breed comes from. There is also a play on words since "Aki" also means autumn.

Tama-Chan Tuesday?

Tama-Chan: So, it's supposed to be Tama-Chan Tuesday, right? And where, I ask you, are the Tama-Chan photos? A few photos have made their way to #1 in Japan, and there are just a couple I can share with you.

The first is me looking to see if there were any leftovers in Tommy's bowl.

And the other is to show you what I have to put up with when I have my meals, with those two boys hanging around... Wen #1 is here, she often makes sure to feed me where I won't be disturbed. I can't wait for her to get back!

We would like to apologise for the overall lack of commenting. Things will reman this way until #1 gets back from Japan. Her last few days will be as crazy as the rest has been, and she has now caught a cold to boot! Thank you so much to all who have been commenting on our posts!

Manly Monday from Japan

#1 here. I thought I would share pictures of a coupe of very many encounters I have enjoyed over here in Japan.

Firstly, here is a very handsome Shiba-Inu I came across a few days ago:

And the other is this gorgeous horse called "Tera" which means Temple. He is five years olf and is learning to log and plough. He is very very cool!

Wishing you all a great week!

Snoozy Sunday

Tama-Chan: With #1 away for the second Sunday in a row, the only thing to do on a Sunday is snooze.

Thank goodness #1 will be back next Sunday!

Sei-Chan's Souvenir Saturday

Sei-Chan: Phew! You have NO idea how crazy things have been for us as we accompany #1 on her mad progress through Japan. Last night, she only managed to get four hours of sleep. This will not do!

Yuu-Chan has been trying to hold her down...

I have been looking severe::

Ikkyu has been trying to set an example:

But it seems that Sen-Chan is her role model at the moment:

And as for Trav, well, his mame is "The Traveller", right? So we can't expect much from him!

The only good news is that #1 has been able to enjoy "Onsen" Japanese hot spring baths every day the past few days!

Have a great Seiturday!

Far-Off Festival Felines on Friday!

#1 here, reporting from Japan. On Tuesday, I went to one of Tokyo's big festivals. It is called "Tori no Ichi" and it is a very colourful event at which they sell highly decorated bamboo rakes with which people and businesses  will "rake in" money in the coming year. This being Japan, there were lots of cats, and also some dogs, in the rake designs. Here is a selection for you:
