#1 here. I have been in Hampshire the past few days and yesterday, I attended the Southern Counties Heavy Horse show. There were a lot of horses, Percherons but also other breeds such as Shires and Suffolks and I thought it would be fun to share some photos with you.
A baby Shire:
A four Suffolk hitch:
Four Percherons chain-harrowing the field:
Some beautifully decorated bums (one Suffolk and two Percherons):
Two Percherons girls in the Marathon race:
Two Percheron girls on a 1908 St. Giles steam fire engine:
A grey Shire bedecked with amazing decorations:
That looked like a really fun show!

ReplyDeleteThose horses are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIl est rigolo le bébé shire, on dirait qu'il a des empennages de flèches sur le cou.
ReplyDeleteLes shires sont impressionnants, tellement grands lorsqu'ils sont adultes.
Bonne soirée
