Tama-Chan: In our SoS posts, we usually share with you photos that have been taken during the previous week. Sadly, we don't really have anything new that is suitable for this week, so we have decided to access the archives once again. We shall go back all the way to #1's first kitty, Ikkyu, who went to the bridge in 2007, and do this in two parts. So, today, in part one, let's take a look at the early years.
First, here is #1 with her buddy Ikkyu who, for fifteen years, travelled the globe with her:
Before she had a dog of her own, #1 often "borrowed" the neighbours' dog. Her name was Madrac and she was Mad Fernant's predecessor. At the time, her owners both worked full-time so #1 would often take her on walks.
Madrac was a real sweetie and when Sen-Chan came to live with us, after Ikkyu went to the Bridge, he immediately extended to paw of friendship to her:
And she went on to become Tommy's "Auntie" and best friend!
Needless to say, Sen-Chan and Tommy were also best friends!
And when tiny me (Tama-Chan) came along, Sen-Chan also took me under his paw:
As did Tommy, needless to say!
Little Sen-Chan was a very special boy and he left us far too soon. His specialty was the "nose-lick" but he loved every kind of cuddle!
Both Madrac and Sen-Chan have gone to the Bridge, but we will never forget either of them or the love they brought into the life of Poupounette Central.
I love the memories of these snuggles. Reminds me of one of the last pictures of i have of Q and myself. Bittersweet indeed.
ReplyDeleteThese are indeed lovely memories - and sad too as these wonderful friends are no longer with us. The Bridge is full of love and snuggles and cuddles.

Tommy semble avoir toujours été le chien aimant et parfait.

We see that #1 is the common theme here...she must be the best snuggler of all.
ReplyDeleteI like all the memory photos. :)
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing the photos from the beginning of your family. That was wonderful! I am looking forward to part 2.

Such a sweet story! We especially like the first and last pictures. Our mom was fond of borrowing dogs for walks too and thinks they are a great way to meet people because people love to come up and pet a nice dog.
ReplyDeleteThat picture of Ikkyu is just a classic. What an satisfied cat expression!
