This blog was started in June 2008 by a young sorrel Abyssinian cat called Sen-Chan and a slightly younger English Springer Spaniel called Tommy. The years that followed were full of hellos and goodbyes. Some, like Sen-Chan and Yuu-Chan, were lost very young. Other Abys like Sei-Chan, Bibi, and Genji stayed with us for quite a few years. But they too have gone now, as has Tommy. In the interim, several Percheron horses joined the family, starting with Vidock in 2010, Violette in 2012, and then Hotesse and Heloise in 2020. They contribute to the blog regularly. But the mainstays are Ollie, also an English Springer Spaniel, Tama, an Abyssinian queen who has been with us since late 2008, and Benkei (Benny), a little ruffian who joined us in 2021, followed by Momo in 2022, and another Aby boy, Ryū, in 2023.. We live in rural France, in a region called the Perche, which is famous for its heavy horses.
Everyone is thankful here today because, after days on end of rain and grey skies, the sun has finally come out! So... the cat run is once again open for business!
We are also thankful that we had very handsome visitor:
And that our apples are ripe and delicious!
As for Tommy, well, he is thankful that everyone else is thankful!
We were wondering if you guys got the sun we sent over! How exciting... The kitty kat run is now open. You are even smiling Tommy. Have fun Benny & Lily
That is so great that the sun finally came out and you can use the run again! We are glad you get to enjoy it some more before winter comes! And oh that is a very cool looking moth (or butterfly - we can't tell which is which ever) and those apples look tasty! And Tommy is looking very handsome as always!!
Gratitude is good :) And it is so lovely when the sun shines after days of grey. You look so happy in your run. And Tama-Chan, I would like to thank you for your stern purrs on my blog - I have tried to let Äiti see my paw but you know how it goes - we cats are private creatures and don't want to make a fuss.
Lovely photos ... we were listening to a really interesting programme on the radio this afternoon about butterflies and how far they fly. Lots of monarch butterflies come here from Morocco every summer.
Your apples look a lot better then our few - which didn't grow very big this year!
Hope the weather stays good for you for the weekend - forecast here is for an indian summer for the next few days!
Guess what? My mom person & I have created a new blog at www.PetBlogsUnited.com.
