Toysday with Tama-Chan

Tama-Chan: It would be a grave mistake, dear friends, to assume that motherhood has put a stop to my playing. In fact, #1 tells me that I am more playful than ever now! I am very partial to wand toys with feathers and she has been making sure that I get play time every day!

Of course, this is partly a pedagogical exercise as I do have to teach the kits how to play. Here they are, paying very close attention:

I must say that I am quite pleased with their progress in learning to play. Here is little Bibi-Chan with his banana:

And here are Hime-Chan and Fuku-Chan wrestling inside their tiny duplex condo:

And to the right, little GoGo-Chan discovering the joys of a sibling's tail!

But it seems that their favourite game is still the "feeding scrum"!

PS: #1 asked me to say thank you for all the nice comments about El Tigre yesterday. We are very happy to report that we already have someone interested in adopting him! One of our French blogging friends called us yesterday to say that her sister was very interested. We hope that the deal will be clinched very soon.

  1. What delightful toysday pictures! You all look great! What good news about El Tigre - it's really his year. And good news for us as mom was looking again and again at his picture. That was a close one.
    Purrs, Siena & Chilli

  2. Concatulations on the possible home for El Tigre. That is great news!:)

The babies are watching you very intently, Tama-Chan. We think they will learn very well from you:)

  3. Cuteness overload here today!!! Life is too short not to have fun - we are so glad that you love to play, Tama-Chan, and there is not doubt you have already begun teaching your little ones well. They are just adorable.

    Woos, Phantom and Thunder

  4. What a fun picture of the babies watching the playing. So glad you still have a chance to act kittenish yourself, Tama.

  5. The "feeding scrum" was certainly our favorite game when we were kittens! We are glad you are getting some play time, Tama-Chan, and we are also glad that little El Tigre may have found a forever home.

  6. Wonderful pictures! Playing is a very important part of a cat's life and we can see the kittens are learning from a pro.

    Super news about El Tigre!

  7. Psssst, we'd like to know if #1 has ever seen those kitty beds they posted about on moderncat. They look great, don't you think? http://www.moderncat.net/2010/01/04/neko-chigura-traditional-japanese-cat-bed/

  8. > Tama Chan, it 's said you are the best at playing with feathers, and the fastest too, exactly like Tom with the frisbee.

  9. You are an excellent teacher, Tama-chan, and you have the most attentive students.

Great news about El Tigre! So cute. Sigh...

    purrs and hugs,

  10. Thanks for your comment on my blog. My Mom think the European law regarding declawing is a good one. Does the law about docking dogs tails mean that cocker spaniels in Europe have long tails? That would be different from what she is accustomed to, having grown up with a series of golden cockers in her family, all with "traditional" docked tails.

  11. So much Aby-kyootness in one post! The kits are all growing so fast!

We ready your post on El Tigre, too. We hope he has a Forever Home soon, as much as we hope little Gracie will find one. So far, no luck, but Mom will keep trying.

  12. That looks like a lot of fun, and the kittens are growing so fast and they are just adorable!!!!!

  13. I wonder how much fun playing with a Siberian would be fur all of woo?

PeeEssWoo: Hi Tommy! How khool about El Trigre!

  14. I used to steal mice from my kits.. after all they need to know how to guard their prey.. I had to teach them, didn't I?

  15. The babies are getting more bootiful every day! And, although I thought it was impossible to improve on perfection, so are you my darling!

  16. All I can say is....Adorable!!!!

  17. Gorgeous.. Absolutely delightful.. HUgs GJ x

  18. Cute toysday pictures. The babies are adorable.
Tama-Chan you are a good teacher. We love watching you play.

    Have fun!!!

  19. Great news about El Tigre!

Love all the photos - the kittens are just so cute!

    take care

  20. It's simply amazing that #1 is getting anything at all accomplished (even basics like getting out of pajamas in the morning) as I know my Mom would be watching those kittens play all day long. Good thing #1 is more disciplined!

    Your pals,

    Petey and Mica

  21. Kittenssssss.....purrrrrrrrrr.....

  22. Kits! Khute! They look very posh in their luminous collars. At the rate their growing, you'd probably have to upgrade to a bungalow soon..

    Great job Tama-chan!

  23. Oh those babies are coming along so nicely .... and are gorjuss!

  24. Such pretty kittens. Love their collars!

Thanks for visiting our blog! We love getting comments.
