Wednesday Whinnies

Vidock: Studly Neighs, EveryFriend! It's me, the Big V! I wanted to thank you for all the nice comments about me. We still don't have the test results for various tick-borne nasties, so we are waiting. I am eating fine. I don't have any kind  of fever or nasal discharge. Just very lethargic which is not my usual style (although I do still try to get in the occasional teeny weeny bite...). Apparently #1 has asked her animal communicator to have a chat with me so I will try to explain how I feel a little better via her.

#1 did come and see me yesterday and she brought a friend who does logging and other traction work. I may be doing some work with this lady when I am feeling 100% again, so it was just a meet and greet. and we tried on collar, roller, long reins, the paraphernalia of traction work, as opposed to a saddle. I do have a few photos to share:

 

 

 

She is a very nice lady and I think it would be fun to work with her, so I hope I am feeling up to it very soon! In the meantime, Ms. Violette is keeping a close eye on me, which I think is very nice of her!

 

Tama-Chan's Terrific Tuesday!

Tama-Chan: Yes, Dear Readers, #1 is back! She returned to us at around 3pm yesterday, having gotten up extra early so she could take an earlier train through the Chunnel than she had booked. Wasn't that nice of her?

Mr. G did an admirable job of looking after us, so we have no complaints, which is a good thing as#1 is going to be away again at the weekend, working at the French National Percheron Championships, and he will be back looking after us.

#1, as usual, did us proud on the bringing back loot front. In fact, there was so much of it that she gave up putting it on the table after a while!

 

Aside from the stuff for us Chans and Tommy, there were apples and carrots for the Vs, plus several large bags of seeds and peanuts for the wild birdies.

Genji: Today is the day! #1 should be back with us mid-afternoon. In the meantime, she has scraped the bottom of her photo barrel and come up with these photos.

By the way, we got part of Vidock's blood test results back and they were all normal. We are still waiting for the results on piroplasmosis and Lyme Disease. Paws and hooves crossed.

Tommy Snuggles on Sunday

Sei-Chan: It is now SEIturday again which means that #1 will be back in two days. although I must say that Mr. G, and his Mum Ms. N, have been doing a pretty awesome job, so we really have no complaints.

Friday Fun With #1

#1 here. As threatened yesterday. I thought I would share a few photos from my trip to England these past few days. I helped out at a big heavy horse event called the New Forest Beer Run, which happened in the actual New Forest in Hampshire.

On the first day of the actual "run" I got to do one of the stages of the road race with some friends who own Shires, so a change from Percherons! It is simply lovely to ride through the New Forest, both open moorland and actual wooded areas, in a horse-drawn vehicle:

Following that, there was a rather fun Shire selfie!

The two Shires on the left, two girls called Willow and Fern, are driven by a young man who is only 21 and one of the best (horse) drivers  I have met:

We are all doing well in the care of Mr. G and his Mum, Ms. N. They have been sending #1 news every day, which she says she really appreciates
