Manly Monday

Tom: Another week is starting and we have been promised SUNSHINE, and it's supposed to be around 20C (high 60s) until Wednesday. I guess it will take a little time for the fields to dry up, though. Here I am yesterday. Believe me, I was one wet puppy!

And here I am, trying to keep my ball safe from Fernant:

I had a fun evening outing with #1 late last week, to a dinner party. Here I am, sitting comfortably under the table with my ball:

And last but not least, here I am, relaxing on the sofa last night!

Bibi-Chan: It has been an entire week since my little tree-climbing escapade, and I have been a most excellent boy. #1 decided to construct a new special napping place on the shelf above her desk, and I have claimed it for my own:

It really is most pleasant!

Do you like this rather mysterious photo of me?

Or do you prefer the decidedly non-mysterious version?

Gen-Chan: Greetings, one and all. Do you think I look fierce in this photo?

Well, other than being in my beddie, next to #1's pillow...

Here I am looking for buried treasure, aka The Beebs, in the bed:

Will the ladies swoon over my furs?

Hey! How come I don't have a girlfriend yet?

Vidock: I must confess I wasn't really nice to #1 last time she came to visit. You see, our field has gotten soggier and soggier, and Big Tom and I have been dreaming of warm and  dry straw beds. We want IN! Well, we have been promised it this week, so please cross everything you've got for us.

Here we are, cantering in the rain:

The long-suffering duo...

We definitely look better when it's sunny!

Catch you later!

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: Well, Dear Friends, it is still wet, and you should have seen the state Tommy was in when he came in from his run this morning, but there is hope. We actually saw a ray or two this morning, and have been told that there will be sunshine from tomorrow. That is almost too exciting for words!

In case you were wondering, I did have my snuggles with Tommy this week!

But my Beebs was once again the Snuggle Stakes winner this week. Here he is hanging out with #1, watching TV:

And this time, we did get an actual snuggle between Bibi and Genji, as the latter gave his big brother a wash:

Genjis Khan believes in very dynamic snuggling. He "attacks" #1 when she is at her desk and then wraps himself over and around her, moving endlessly until she eventually manages to keep him still for a somewhat blurry photo op:

You saw the fun photo yesterday. As you can imagine, there was a lot of snuggling involved in that encounter between Tommy and Sei-Chan!

This is not a snuggle but a happy picture of Violette and some of her pals who are now inside and dry, away from all that rain and squelchy ground:

Wishing you all a Sunday full of snuggles!

So SEIturday!

Sei-Chan: OK. So it has been raining almost constantly since my last SEIturday post. Can you believe it? #1 keeps mumbling that if she did not have a woofie, she probably would not actually have gone out of the house all week. Oh, and there are the horses too. Yesterday, she walked across a 10 acre field to go and say hello to Vidock who was not happy about being totally soaked. He will be brought in very soon. Violette is already in and enjoying it!

I have been spending quite a bit of time in my delightful down cocoon:

As well as hanging out on the kitchen cat tree:

Wanna see a bit of toe?

As the days get shorter, it's nice to nap companionably close to my sister Tama-Chan:

Even when I have to deal with #'s over-enthusiastic photo-taking...

Oh, and I have a funny photo for you of me and Tommy! He is woofing "Come to me, little one. You are good enough to eat!" Tee Hee..... I love my Tommy!

Have a great SEIturday, everyone!

URGENT: Our Pittie pals now have a new human puppy called Michael. They are having a garage sale tomorrow in a last bid to raise desperately needed funds to keep their house. Their Chip-In button has gone quiet of late, so if you haven't been to visit yet, could you please go and take a look and see if you can help even a little? It's here.

Fond Farewell to KATIE Friday

Tommy: Today, I am writing to bid a sad but very fond farewell to my Grandmama, Katie, who travelled to the Rainbow Bridge last night. I would like to place a particular emphasis on the "fond" part because Katie had such a wonderful life. She was treasured from puppyhood to her last moments by Ms. A and Mr. R. She was strong and healthy, and produced some wonderful pups, including my Mama Minnie. She lived to the grand old age of 15 and faded away from natural causes. She had grandpups, such as me, Sophie, Elsie, and Lydia, and even great-grand pups such as Emily. She will always be remembered with great love.

Here are a few pics of her that #1 took during our visits to Normandy:

July last year

January this year:

And as a final tribute to Katie, here are a few photos of us, some of her descendants:

Her daughter, Minnie (my mama):

Granddaughters Sophie, Lydia and Elsie (my sisters)

Her great-granddaughter, Emily:

And of course, me, TOMMY!

Run Free, sweet Katie. You left your mark!

Taken on Thursday!

Genji: Hey Tama-Chan! Doesn't the dryer look inviting. It's only just stopped. The clothes are still inside. Must be nice and warm!

Tama-Chan: I wouldn't be too hopeful if I were you, little Genji.

I know my Beebs too well...

That was this week. This was last week:

The Beebs is a dryer hog!!!

Whapping Wednesday!

Could this be the prelude to a snuggle?

I don't think so!

Definitely NOT!

Hey GK, your ears are looking a little funny...

Brought to you by The Beebster and Genjis Khan.

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: It's lovely to be back to my regular Tuesday post, Dear Friends, last week having been interrupted by the Big V's Gotcha Day. Let me start by saying that we very much appreciated all your nice comments yesterday about my Beebs' escapade. I confess that the tales of my having indulged in somewhat similar activities in my youth are true. There was the one time when ladders had to be put in place at 2am to get me down from a tree. But I never went up that high. That Beebs of mine must have been mad!

Anyway, all is quiet again at Poupounette Central and I have lots of nice photos to share with you! Here I am, busy at the computer:

Showing off a bit of toe on my favourite perch:
