Sundry Snuggle Sunday

Tama-Chan
: With #1 being away a good chunk of this week, photo-taking has been severely affected and so we find ourselves unable to do our usual full snuggle post. sniff..... However, all is not lost! We do have a few pictures to share with you!

As soon as he was back home, I immediately went to have a mega-snuggle with Tommy!

We had visitors on Saturday who gave him rather a lot of attention too!

As for little Gen-Chan, he is a very fast learner. Here he is, first thing this morning, "stuck" to #1 in bed!

And here is my Bibi having an early-morning snuggle "on" #1!

This next one is not a snuggle pic per se, but it is full of love. It shows our Guardian Angel, Ms. S., teaching Vidock yesterday how to walk properly for his big in-hand presentation tomorrow:

And here we have Tommy again, snuggling with his current stuffie:

Our apologies for the lack of any Sei-Chan snuggle pics. We'll try to make up for that next Sunday!

One more word about Vidock's big day tomorrow. He is being shown as a 2-year old colt for pre-approval to go to the Nationals which, this year, coincide with the Percheron World Congress. Could we please ask for lots of paw crossings on Monday?

Safely Home SEIturday!

Sei-Chan:
Excellent news, everybody! #1 and Tommy are back!!! They got back last night, a little earlier than expected, which was just GREAT! Tommy seemed a little tired. He said it was a lot of work looking after 6 girls. Hah!

Are you wondering how we all did when they were gone? Actually, we had a pretty good time too! Ms. S came often and spent a lot of time with us. As for that pipsqueak... you know what? We all really like him! He is funny and brave and he loves all of us!

That being said, you know I was once a kitten too! So I though that today, I would share with you some of my own kittenhood pictures from when I was about the same age that Gen-Chan is now:

It's always good to remember the kitten you once were!

Family Friday With Tommy

Tom
: Yes, it's me again. I am being a bit of a blog hog at the moment... Today is our last day here in upper Normandy with all my family and I wanted to share some more photos with you.

Firstly, there was a request for chicken photos, so here goes:

There are lots more, at least two dozen plus chicks! And the interesting thing about these guys is that they roost in the big tree!

The best way to keep Mr. Fox at bay!

Anyway, back to my family. Here is my Grandmama Katie. She is 14 years old and still runs around like a pup!

Here I am with my sister Elsie (F) and Aunt Cora (L):

And inviting Sophie and Cora to come out to play:

And here is Elsie again (R), this time with the incomparable Emily (L), my niece!

We also had a request for a shot of Emily's ears, so here are two!

And here is Emily helping #1 with the blogging:

Not forgetting Emily's Mama, my fellow tennis-ball fan sister, Sophie:

And my Great-Aunt, Harri:

My Mama, Minnie, and my niece Lydia went to stay with my two nephews so there are no photos of them this time around.

And in case you were wondering, this lot is a pretty snuggly bunch. #1 says it's rather hard to take photos when you have both cats and dogs on and all around you, but here are a few!

I hope you have enjoyed these couple of days with my birth family. I have had a lot of fun although #1 says that I have been too excited and so not eating well. And I am really looking forward to getting back to my kitties tonight!

#1 here. Just to let you know that the news from home has been great. Ms. S has been spending a lot of time with the Chans, playing with them and spoiling them (that's spelled H.A.M....). It sounds like Bibi and Genji have discovered the joys of playing THoE together and nothing is safe any longer!

Thursday Away...

#1
here. Well, in Upper Normandy we are... In the cold, absolutely pouring rain... Tommy is enjoying his grandmama, aunts, sisters and nieces. Just look at that face!

He always has the most fun with his sister Sophie who shares his love of tennis balls (very soggy tennis balls today...)

And of course there is little Emily!

And please don't think that we are kitty-deprived!

Meanwhile back at the ranch... Gen-Chan appears to be conducting some exotic light-orb worshipping ceremony:

Well, his mother is, after all, called Bastet...

Could you cross a few paws for slightly less wet weather for us?

PS: Apologies for our intermittent visiting at the moment. Things should get back to normal at the weekend.

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan:
Like everyone else here, I am exhausted! You have no idea how much supervising I have had to do, just to make sure that little pipsqueak knows his place! Here I am, perched high in his room...

And I of course needed to try out his feather toys to make sure they conform to all required safety regulations:

The weather has been seriously stinky, cold enough to make #1 wish she had some fur! So, we haven't had as much opportunity as usual to relax in the run. Still, I manage to find the odd minute here and there:

Other than that, it's been the hammock in the study for me!

Oh, and #1 AND Tommy are abandoning us for three days! They leave on Wednesday morning and won't be back until Friday night. They are heading to Normandy where they will look after Tommy's family (plus kitties and chickens) when the breeders go off to the opera at Glyndebourne. And they are leaving pipsqueak here, WITH US!!!! Well, our neighbour Ms. H and Vidock's breeder, Ms. S, will, between them, come and see us three times a day but that does not make up for anything, as you all well know. I, Queen Tama, am not pleased.

Manly Monday - BoysX4!

Tom
: I think that everyone at the Poupounette is exhausted from all the happenings of the past week, but we are all happy! Little Genji is still a little scared of me but he is coming closer each day. I am feeling just fine and had a couple of great outings with #1. The first one yielded an extremely yummy beef rib bone:

And on the second one, I made a very cute new friend!

I am back to galloping over the fields although #1 is still holding back from the Frisbee and tennis ball. I finish my course of anti-inflammatories tomorrow and we will see how I do once I'm off the meds.

Vidock mentioned that he's now sharing a field with his other brother Tom, and #1 managed to snag this "Double Tom" shot!!!

Bibi-Chan: #1 keeps telling me that I am the best Bibi ever because I am being such a good big brother! The little squirt is pretty spunky and funny and I am enjoying him! We have started to play a little already. And I continue to keep a close eye on him!

I haven't really had time to do much else. It's hard work being a full-time brother!

Gen-Chan: Hi everyone. I have to tell you that life is GENJI-GOOD!!!!! I love my family! My big brother is the coolest ever. Mama-Tama is a little bit scary but I think she secretly really likes me, and Auntie Sei-Chan has the sweetest face! The big woofie still scares me a little, though.

I have been exploring the rest of the floor where my quarters are located, and this morning, I made a fabulous discovery!

They have an all-you-can-eat buffet here!!!

I am still spending most of my time playing:

And #1 says I have to devote a lot of energy to growing!

Vidock: #1 tells me we are now into countdown mode. Why, you may ask? Well, next Monday, I am going to be shown for the first time! The farrier is coming today to trim my hooves and put shoes on the front ones. Then tomorrow, #1 and Ms. S will do the initial "heavy grooming" to get the muck off me and check me out totally. Then, Ms. S will work with me to make sure I behave like a gentlecolt on the day.

#1 and Mr. E worked to prepare the wools for my braids last week. Do you like the colours?

As you know, I am now sharing a field with my big (BIG!) brother Tom de Prainville. He will also be coming along next Monday so I will have moral support! He and I get along pretty well:

And #1 says I look pretty good next to him, even though I am two whole years younger and far from being fully developed yet. Tom is my role model. Can you believe that his seed (frozen) will shortly be on its way to Australia?!

Still.. I have to be a teenager sometimes....

Have a great week, everyone!
