SEIturday is My Day!

Sei-Chan: Here we are again. It's the weekend and we're feeling lazy. We were surprised to see a light dusting of snow when we woke up this morning, but it's almost all gone already.

I have been spending some quality time in my hammock this week...

But very much keeping an eye on #1 whilst doing it:

I enjoyed the sunshine we got:

Played with our Plague Ratsie:

And seriously considered becoming a tightrope walker...

but #1 didn't think that was a good idea at all...

Anyway, we got some pretty concerned comments at the pictures of that crazy sister of mine, Tama-Chan, doing her headless climb! So, to put your minds at rest, here are before and after photos:

After

Wishing you all a very happy SEIturday! Come back tomorrow for some snuggles!

Flying Ears and Frootbats

Tom: Have you noticed that there has not been adequate coverage of me recently? It's hard getting proper attention when you live with SEVEN kitties, but I asked #1 if I could kick off the Friday post with some nice flying ears shots and she said yes!

Look at this next one. See how incredibly steep that climb is? It's the moat of my castle!

And just look at this action shot!

My special thanks to Siena and Chilli's mum who took all these photos, as well as most of the ones below!

Now I suppose you will be wanting to see some Frootbats too? The kittens are 11 weeks old today, and I have been getting to know them! I think Hime-Chan really likes me! Anyway, here they are:

And Mama-Tama...

Thursday Try-Outs

Sei-Chan: So, the Winter Olymics are on and there seem to be an awful lot of events for us cats too! I am most impressed!

We had a long discussion with #1 as to which events we could enter. She says that Tama-Chan should be in the EXTREME CLIMBING event which is being run by House of Cats:

Now you must undrestand that in her case, it is not a question of how high, but that she actually managed the climb WITHOUT HER HEAD!!! How is that for extreme?! Note that this photo is as taken. It has been nowhere near Photoshop!

As for me, I decided to enter the COMPETITIVE NAPPING competition that is being run by Huffle Mawson. Here is my entry which shows me in my hammock, shutting out the world:

Yuu-Chan heard there is also a CURLING competition on Grrreta's blog, so he decided to enter with this photo!

Curly paws and curly tail... But we still can't figure out who is actually hosting this event. Help!

We had fun doing this. Thanks to the organisers!!!

Could it be......?

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: It has been a very exciting few days here in the back room. Our lovely visitor, Siena and Chilli's mum, spent so much time with us, both playing and cuddling each and every one of us! The weather has also been pretty nice, so I got to go out into the run several times, even when there was a bit of snow on the ground. On one occasion, a certain little pipsqueak from the other part of the house managed to sneak in and he actually hissed at me! Can you believe that?!

Here I am getting some loving from our guest:

and showing off my whiskers:

As for the kits, they had lots of fun with the toys that our guest brought them!

Plus their usual games...

I will leave with one more shot of me in the run:

With my special thanks to Siena and Chilli's mum who took a lot of the photos I am using today!

Manly Monday!

Tom: Well it has been a very manly few days for me! First of all, yesterday was Valentine's Day and so I wore my special bandana with hearts on it, and was admired by all!

On Saturday, I accompanied #1 to the market, and there we met an English Springer Spaniel puppy called Lucky. He was sweet but pretty small for his age. His owner said he was 5 months old but he was smaller than I was when #1 got me at 3 months!

We also went for my run to a place where we only go occasionally, and since Siena and Chilli's mum is still here, she took some picture some me and #1! We were not able to enter Niamh's Train Your Dog contest as we had no photos at all, so this can be a kind of post-contest effort!

Yuu-Chan: Siena and Chili's Mum has been taking SO many photos of all of us! Here is a very manly close-up of me communing with my food bowl!

She also brought us a great new mat, made with felted merino wool. It is very cozy and comfortable!

But you know me... I consider cuddling to be the manliest activity ever, so here I am with #1:

Tora-Chan: Yes, here I am again. They all came to visit me yesterday! I know that many of you complain incessantly about flashy beasts and pawparazzis. So I wanted to show you how a real pro handles a photo shoot...

I also wanted to tell you how much fun I have been having with my big brother Kaze! We play, and play and PLAY!!!

MAX TOUR STORIES - AN INTERLUDE IN THE PERCHE!

Today, we are absolutely delighted to be part of a global movement to take our friend MAXDOG on a worldwide tour of many of his blogging friends, giving him an opportunity to meet and play with the friends he has made, and to see lots of sites. You have been such a great tour guide, MAX, and now it is our turn!

Welcome to FRANCE and the PERCHE portion of the MAX TOUR STORIES!

We know that you are going to have a great deal of adventure ahead of you today, Max, so we decided to concentrate on just one place which we feel is representative both of our town/region and of Tommy. So, we are inviting you to join Tommy in a romp around The CHATEAU ST. JEAN in Nogent-le-Rotrou, capital of the Perche. Building of the dungeon started in the early 11th century and further parts were added through the 16th century. The original builder of the castle was the Earl of Rotrou who had distinguished himself in the First Crusade. The castle was only conquered once, by the English, during the 100 Years' War. The moat has never been filled and makes a perfect playground for athletic woofies!

Of course, we could not possibly let you come all the way here and not meet the TTs, Tama's Terrors. So, we hope you don't mind a serious dose of their attention and cuddles!

We know how rowdy that lot can be.... BE STRONG! And have lots and lots of fun on your tour!!!
