Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: Welcome, Dear Friends, to our Snuggles on Sunday post. I think that, this week, I shall start with our beloved matriarch, the beautiful Hotesse. She is hanging in there. Ms. C helps her get up most days, but once she is up, she is sprightly and her appetite is excellent! She has some sores from lying down and then having difficulty getting up They get completely cleaned out, disinfected and then slathered with two different kinds of cream each day, and seem better. Ms. C sometimes uses purple spray as an antiseptic, but she found an even better use for it!

Isn't that great? Thank you, Ms. C! #1 also has a nice snuggle pic with Hotesse this week:

I did some serious snuggling with #1 too this week:

The boys were of course at their snuggles:

We have a special guest this week, as #1 managed to snag a selfie with one of Ms. C's cats, Monsieur Le Roux (Mister Red):

And she even got a nice pic with Miss Héloise!

And that wraps up our SoS post for this week. We hope you enjoyed the pics! Have a great Sunday!

Oh, and we almost forgot... HAPPY BIRTHDAY, #1!!!!💝💖💜💛💚

Souvenir Saturday With Tommy

Rainbow Tommy: Psssttttt.., tomorrow is my #1's birthday, and it was also my birthday. I would have been 15 years old tomorrow. #1 and I always used to celebrate our special day together, so she thought it would be nice to let me do a post all by myself today, and Sei-Chan said it would be fine. It won't be anything special, just sharing some favourite photos with you all.

I wanted to start with this picture, which was taken in 2008, when I wasn't even a year old. It's one of #1's all-time favourites because she says it represents utter joy in living:

This one is from 2009 and combines flying ears with one of my beloved balls!

Did I say ball? I had a variety of rugby balls over the years. This one dates from 2010:

I confess that I was a major destroyer of stuffies! This photo dates from 2012. I gather that my successor, Ollie, is good to his stuffies. Imagine that!

I also used to love sticks of wood, and was always on the lookout for them. This was a 2014 vintage:

This next one, also from 2014, is a serious manly portrait!

This is one of my favourites. It was taken on our birthday in 2014 by our friend, Ms. P:

A post like this one would not be complete without my buddy, Fernant:

And my beautiful birth family. I was so lucky to continue seeing them all regularly all my life. I am now reunited with all of them here at the Bridge. This photo was taken in 2017 and includes my Mama, Minnie, my sisters Lydia and Sophie, and my niece, Emily:

Thank you for reading. I miss all of you, and above all, my #1.

Vidock Vendredi

The Big V: You remember me telling you on Monday that #1 had something planned for me that day? Well, here I am to tell you all about it and show you some awesome pics, mostly taken by Mr. G who came to see the event.

August 15th is a national holiday in France and we always have the biggest Percheron event of the year in our area on that day. This year, the location changed after more than 20 years, and we were trying out a new location (that will change again next year!). Anyway, #1 was doing the commentaries on one of the rings, and I went along with my friend, Doupette, to show off what two incredibly handsome logging horses look like. For the occasion, I wore my beautiful Japanese logging collar, a gift from Mr. T!

Most of the photos were taken in the ring, when we were just showing off, but #1 managed to get hold of one pic where you can see us at work. We cleared an overgrown small wood close to the show site!

It was a lot of fun. I love being out and about and having people admire me! Ms. C was telling #1 that although I misbehaved a little when I was working, I behaved perfectly as soon as I entered the show ring. #1 had told her that would be the case, but she didn't believe it until she saw it with her own eyes! My breeders were there too, along with my half-sister, and they said I looked fab!

Thankful Thursday

#1 here. Today, all of us at Poupounette Central are thankful for a beautiful gift we received recently from Ms. A. Old-timers may remember that Ms.A is our beloved Rainbow Tommy's breeder and she and Mr. R have become dear friends of mine. It is my birthday in a few days (the same day that was also Tommy's birthday) and Ms. A, who also adores cats, sent me two beautiful towels, hand-embroidered with the three cats of Poupounette Central, Tama, Benny and Momo!

Here are the two towels together

The two towels have different embroideries. Here, first are Tama and Momo

Ms. A says that there are two black kitties to represent Benny's excess energy!

An here is the other towel. First Momo and Benny:

And then Benny and Tama

Thank you, Ms. A for this lovely gift which I shall always treasure.

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Yesterday was a holiday in France and August 15th is always the date of our big local Percheron event. This year, it was in a new location and spread over two sparate sites. #1 was asked to do the commentary on one of the sites. She left early and spent all day on her feet, talking. She caem home shattered, so this won't be too long. In fact, I am having to provide serious assistance as she writes this!

Here are a couple of fun "Tiger Stripe" pics of me at my ablutions:

And one of me relaxing and crossing all paws for our sweet senior lady, Hotesse, who continues to have ups and downs.

Manly Monday

Vidock: Handsome Neighs, EveryFriend! The Big V here. I apparently have a busy day today. I'll let you know more about it when I find out for myself what's involved! In the meantime, here is a pic of me looking good as I wait for my apples:

Ollie: I am a pretty active by but I also know how to relax! #1 tells me that, Tommy, TOWCB, used to sleep like this too! They apparently call it the Springer Sprawl!

Benny: I can do a Benny Sprawl, complete with open mouth!

Momo: Heeeeeeeeelp!!!!

We have a special guest on today's Manly Monday. Little Malin, over at Ms. C's is growing well and said he would like to be features too, so here he is:
