Tommy's Rainbow Birthday

#1 here. Today would have been Tommy's 13th birthday. Sadly, he is no longer here to celebrate it with me whose birthday it also is today. But he will always live on in my heart and so, I would like to remember his birthdays past, starting with his first one.

At the time of his first birthday, Tommy had injured himself and had to wear the dreaded cone, but he received what turned out to be a favourite ball as a gift!

Tommy celebrated his second birthday doing one of his favourite things: playing with his frisbee!

We had a party at home for his third birthday:

There was another party for birthday number four, complete with a joint cake!

Much as I hate to admit it, I was away for birthday number five, in 2012, and Tommy was with house-sitters. They were wonderful sitters and Tommy had a great time with them.

Tommy and I celebrated his sixth birthday with a carriage ride:

Our friend Ms. P was there to help us celebrate birthday number seven, and she took this great photo:

Tommy got some great stuffies for his eighth birthday:

Birthday number nine was really special as Tommy got to spend with his Mama, Minnie!

Tommy got to spend his tenth birthday at the beach with his sisters!

And how could we have known that number eleven would also be the last? We were back at the beach, so carefree and happy...

It was a magical day, and one I shall never forget. Since that day, not only has Tommy gone, but also his sister Lydia and his niece, Emily. I shall hug sisters Sophie and Elsie close to me today as I think back on my life with their brother, the most wonderful dog that anyone could ever have wanted to share a life with. Happy Birthday, Tommy - Always in my heart.

Thankful Thursday

Ollie: Woof, Woof, Everyone! I have so much to be thankful for! Today, I am off with #1 on a big adventure. We are going to Normandy, where TOWCB, Tommy, was born. There I will see Tommy's sisters, Sophie and Elsie, as well as Georgie and Mini, who come from the same breeder as me. #1 told me that we will be going to the beach on Friday. Woo Hoo! I love the beach!

I am also thankful for my great friend, Noelle. She and I have the best time together whenever I go with #1 to see the horses. #1 managed to get some good pics yesterday:

Wednesday Whinnies with Violette

Violette: Pretty Neighs, Everyone! #1 said, quite rightly, that I have not been getting enough air time on the blog lately, and so I should have a post all to myself. Isn't that neighing news?

#1 came to see me a couple of days ago and spent quite a bit of time with me! The others were a bit envious that I got to be taken out for special brushies!

#1 told me I looked quite lovely! As you can see the ouchie on my nose is all repaired and the new skin is a pale pink!

We took a selfie!

I hung out a bit with Ms. C's Big Black Dog as we waited for her to bring us both treats!

And when I went back into my field, #1 took this lovely photo of me. It's now the banner of her Facebook page!

She is coming to see us again today, before she and Ollie head up to Normandy.

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Sometimes, when you'e in the middle of a bath...

You suddenly get the urge to take a break...

And reflect on life...

Oh, and talking about reflecting on life, it would seem that #1 is plotting to abandon us for a few days from Thursday, and take Ollie with her. They are going up to Normandy to visit Tommy's birth family. Stay tuned.

Manly Monday

Genji: Mee-Yow Everyone! It's been cooler here so we've been able to nap properly instead of sweltering. And actually enjoy the sunpuddles instead of hiding from them!

Ollie: Ever since the bur fiasco ion the big field, #1 has kept away from it. But we have been visiting the horses more often and I get to play with my friend Noelle. I don't know why the photos are so often blurred, but here we are, playing bitey face:

The lighting isn't great in this one, but it shows me and Da Genj hanging together on the sofa:

The Big V: #1 took this rather nice one of me and my beloved, Aral.

Hey, did you notice that we have a new header? We though it was high time the H girls were included! But we have a question for you. #1 also wants to change the list of names for our comments, as well as the photo, and she can't seem to figure out how to do it. Help!

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: We have a been enjoying the cooler weather the last couple of days. We are also very glad that the forecast is for pleasant, rather than torrid, temperatures over the next week or so.

This week, let me start with the horses, as they were thin on the ground last week. Kicking things off is Hotesse with #1:

That headcollar was originally made for Vidock but #1 thinks it looks really lovely on Hotesse so she gets to keep it!

Next is Miss Heloise getting a kiss from #1. That headcollar was originally bought for Violette, but Heloise has inherited it!

The Big V, as you know, is always ready for a smooch. As you can see, his nose ouchie is all gone!

We apologise for the lack of a Violette snuggle this week but we promise there will be one next week.

#1 and Ollie took a selfie:

Here I am, snuggled up to #1:

And Genji,  being Genji!

We wish you all a safe and snuggly Sunday!

Sei-Chan's Souvenir Saturday

Rainbow Sei: Hello Everyone! Have you been well? After a really hot week, it has gotten a bit cooler at Poupounette Central, which is a relief for all of us too. It was hard to watch everyone swelter.

So, it's Saturday again and I thought that, this week, I would feature some photos of the cat run for those of us who used it, and then find something appropriate for the others. So let me start with this fun pic of me about to come in:

Yuu-Chan was the only one to use this particular nook in the run:

Here is baby Beebs hanging out in the run:

Sen-Chan of course went outside so he didn't need a run!

And Trav only knew the outside:

Ikkyu travelled the world but, other than that, he was strictly an indoor cat. Except when he escaped, that is!

Tommy of course is a woofie, and he just loves to run!

Wishing you a lovely weekend!
