Tommy's Thankful Thursday

Tommy: The bad weather has mostly continued. The total rainfall for Saturday, Sunday and Monday here was 29mm, which is a LOT! But we also get the occasional bit of rain-free weather, and #1 has been good about trying to take me out at those times. That is something to be seriously thankful about!

Come on, #1! Hurry up before it starts raining again!

Not Quite Wordless Wednesday

Da Genj: So, you heard that I ended up at the vet's on Monday? And that I was not alone? I just cannot believe that Queen Tama insisted on coming along, and then we ended up in the same carrier! Can you believe that?

As you can see, it was pretty cozy but #1 noticed that we both seemed happier than when travelling alone in a carrier. Of course, I am a little guy. Had it been Da (Big) Beebs instead of me, fur might have been flying...

Anyway, #1 wanted to say thanks for all the good wishes. As usual, Tama is being a total sweetheart about taking her meds, and I am being a nightmare. The only way she can get the paste for the diarrhea down me is to put it on my paw for me to lick off.

Tama-Chan's Beebsday Celebration

Tama-Chan: Greetings, Dear Friends! On this day, nine whole years ago, a momentous event happened. I gave birth, by Caesarian section, to four healthy kittens. It was my one and only experience of motherhood. I sadly have no news whatsoever of three of my kits, two boys and a girl, but the fourth continues to loom very large in my life, each and every day. That is of course Bibi (full name Ebisu), aka Da Beebs. Everyone keeps telling me that he is the most perfect boy anyone could have hoped to have. Really? Ah well... If you say so.

In celerbation of this day, I would like to share with you some photos dating from the very first weeks of that same Beebsy life.

... morphed into this:

 He is big and leggy and, most importantly, strong and healthy. I suppose that a mother cannot want more from her offspring. Maybe one day, I'll snuggle with him again. Maybe...

Manly Monday

Vidock: Handsome Neighs, EveryFriend! Even though the weather remains awful, #1 came to see us yesterday so we got our wonderful treat buckets, and I did a little prancing for her. She didn't really manage to catch the best bits on camera, so here is one when I am prancing behind one of my girlfriends, Amandine.

I know I'm pretty muddy, but there isn't anything I can do about that. Muddily handsome, I say!

 

Da Genj: Can I ask for a few purrs today? I am off to see the vet as my stool has been pretty loose since #1 got back. #1 is wondering if I might need worming...

Da Beebs; I gotta tell you, radiator napping really is the best!

 

Tommy: When #1 visited the Vs yesterday, I got to have some fun with my girlfriend, Noelle!

Update: In the end, both Da Genj and Queen Tama went to the vet (Tama insisted on coming!). They have both been wormed and Da Genk put on a anti-diarrhea paste (getting it into him is another matter). Tama got some eye ointment for her gummy eye, a shot and several days of antibiotics.

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: Has it already been a whole week since our last SoS post? Our weather has remained awful, with the exception of a few moments of sunshine late last week. It has just been rain, rain and more rain. It's not the best light for taking photos, says #1.

Still, she managed to get snuggle shots with the Vs! First up is Violette:

With this awful weather, I have been spending a lot of time in the cozy domed beddie on the landing. Needless to say, I get kisses from #1 whenever she goes up and down the stairs!

Simply Saturday

Tommy here. Sei-Chan and Co will be back next week with their regular Souvenir Saturday column. For today, we simply wanted to show what #1 brought us back from Japan this time:

 

On the right are the treats for me. These include some very special dried fish from Hokkaido (Japan's big northern island)  called "Komai"(Saffron Cod) and which I really like. She had a hard time locating some at first but then found it in a shop near where she was staying that specialises in food from Hokkaido. The kitties got all kinds of stuff too, but principally lots of "Chûru" which is the creamy treat that is now hugely popular in Japan. It is Tama Chan's particular favourite! She also brought back some whole freeze-dried chicken breasts which Da Beebs and Da Genj love. There really is something for everyone!
