Manly Monday

Tommy: This is it! The Christmas countdown has officially started. #1stil has some cards to mail and packages to wrap but we're in OK shape given the health debacle of the past couple of weeks.

On Saturday afternoon, I even got to go for a walk in the woods!

Vidock: Same old for me, guys. I'm just a hard-working stud (and I have big plans for 2016!)

 Da Beebs: Studies in manliness...

Da Genj: Me too!

Da Trav: Zzzzzzzzzzzz......

Snuggles on Sunday!

Tama-Chan: The last SoS before Christmas! We are more than ready for the holidays although poor #1 is still coughing and still on meds. But, she does say that she has her senses of taste and smell back and that is the most important thing! We had a big pot luck dinner at out house on Friday evening and everyone had a great time!

Now, given that it is the festive season, I thought I should perhaps make a gesture towards my son, Da Beebs.

Hey, YOU!

My Beebs: Yes, Mama-Tama?

Me: Shall we have a Christmas truce?

My Beebs: I would love that, Mama-Tama!

Me: OK, then. Just for a bit.

So, that's sorted out, then. I hope Santa remembers this...

Oh, and I also decided I needed to have a nice long snuggle with #1:

In other news, Sei-Chan has been snuggling with Tommy, if you can find her in this picture:

Ah, this one is a bit better:

Da Genj has been undercover with #1:

Soppy Beebs of course simply adores his #1:

And Tommy was photographed having a huge snuggle with #1 at our pot-luck!

No Big V snuggle pic this week, but we are very glad to see the return of Miss Violette! Here she is getting some yummy apples and carrots from #1 yesterday:

 Remember, Sundays are for Snuggling!

SEIturday!

Sei-Chan: Yes, Dear Friends, she managed to get my Christmas collar onto me...

May I point out, however, that it took her three days, in her current debilitated state, to actually catch me and get it on!

Ah well, I suppose I shall have to put up with it for a while. It's one of those ultra-comfy Beastie Bands:

This is me on the Christmas Hammick before she got the collar on:

And here I am posing with some of our Christmas stokings:

Last but not least, here I am helping #1 with some of the crumbs from lunch. It's important to leave a clean plate, you know!

Have a great SEIturday, everyone!

Festive Friday!

Violette: Pretty Neighs, Everyone, Violette here! Actually, #1 doesn't have any new photos of me. The last time she came by, on Wednesday, I was at the very far end of the field and she didn't feel strong enough to come all the way over (it's a very big field of over 10 acres!) She is coming again today and we will doubtless have a treat and a snuggle!

I do have a fun photo to share with you, however! #1 normally buys a nice Christmas wreath at a charity stand at our local Christmas market. But the market was last Saturday and she felt rotten so she didn't go, and was wondering what to do about a wreath. And then she thought she would try something a little different this year ans this is what she came up with:

This is one of my shoes! It is the kind I am wearing at the moment, with no clip at the front and set back. That makes it big enough that #1 thought it could work as a wreath, and then she attached some ribbon and decorations. What do you think? I am of course very honoured that my shoe now adorns the front door of Poupounette Central!

Vidock: Studly Neighs, EveryFriend! I was there when #1 came on Wednesday, waiting right by the gate as I knew there would be yummy apples and currents, and there were! It's been raining a lot lately, so I can't say I'm at my cleanest at the moment...

Thankful to The Amigos Thursday!

Tommy: Every year this time of year, we receive a wonderful box of goodies from our friends San and The Amigos (Bujang, Akira, Tanaka and Popps) in Singapore and this year was no exception!

They always send the loveliest gifts for all of us! This is what we saw when we opened the box:

The item on top was for #1 and we will show it to you later. There was a lovely note from San explaining that the bow tie was for me!

Isn't it really "boy-about-townish"?

There was also an intriguing toy and a packet of Bonito fish flakes for the Chans:

And then there were the wonderful collars for all of the Chans from Good Pet Collars. These are collars made in Singapore by a lovely person who works with a shelter called Pets Villa Singapore. So the sale of each collar helps a kitty! Beside that, the collars themselves are totally awesome!

There was also a fifth collar and we will call it Trav's Collar. Although we can't see him wearing it anytime soon, we like to think he has one and we know he would look very handsome in it!

San also never forgets #1 and sends her something beautiful. Last year, it was a stunning violet scarf. This year, it is also a scarf but one more for warmer weather. It is so beautiful!

This is a "Krama" from the Khmer people of Cambodia. It can be put to many, many uses, and #1 will treasure it!

Thank you, San and the Amigos over at Cat Tales, for being such good and generous friends!

Whimsical Wednesday

Da Beebs: Sssshhhhhh... we're not supposed to stay this too loudly but we think that #1 is actually beginning to feel better... It's sure been a long haul and she's still rather icky but she says her tastebuds may be coming back!

With all our Christmas decorations up and the weather still really mild, we have been having a good time watching all the sparkly stuff and even hopping in and out of the cat run. Today, we have a whimsical collection of seasonal shots for you.

What do you think of me on our new Christmas blankie?

Sei-Chan explored it too. It's very soft!

Genji has continued to look after #1 whilst enjoying his Santa hat!

Tommy has been entertaining #1 in any way he could think of...

My Mama Tama, however, decided to pose for one of her signature "cat flap portraits":

We hope you have enjoyed today's photos!

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: You know how we are always whining about how busy #1 is and how she is always gallivanting about and never home? Well, we have certainly been spoiled these past days since she has been home almost ALL he time, and we have loved it. Poor Tommy has been missing his long walks but we kitties have simply revelled in having her here with us. I suspect it won't last, though. These things never do...

She also hasn't been at her desk as much as usual, so I have been able to enjoy the desk chair:

And look cute:

And after some searching, #1 did find our Christmas collars (only Beebs got a new one, to match Tommy's), so here I am in mine:

#1 says thanks again for all the purrs and good wishes. She says today will be the clincher, or that's what the doctor told her anyway.
