Manly Monday

Vidock: Studly Neighs, EveryFriend! I have been pondering my training and have decided that I want to become a chariot racing horse. I think I have everything it takes:

Mr E and ms. S were very pleased with me yesterday. I also got  a hairdo and a pedi!

Genji: The other day, a very nice lady came to our house with a foldable bed. #1 said she was a masseuse and I immediately thought she had come for me!

But apparently, she had come for #1. So, I had to find something else to do and look what I saw!

Sadly, the window was closed so it couldn't come inside to play with me.

All this activity was very exhausting and required some serious nap time:

Please note the ear!

Da Beebs: I tried a bit of dangle but felt shy about it…

…but #1 said I looked cute.

It was hard work and I needed a nap. So, I switched to a Paw Pile!

Tom: Remember the field that was all golden last week? Well, it's now floofy white!

I have continued to help #1 with the logging and the pile is now quite impressive!

And to finish off this Manly Monday, here is a nice portrait that #1 took of me a few days ago:

Here's wishing you all a Happy Monday!

Snuggles on Sunday

Tama-Chan: I am glad to report that I have done a little better this week than last and actually do have a couple of photos of me snugging! Here I am having a big cuddle with my Tommy:

And held in a vise for a snuggle with #1!!!

My Beebs, on the other paw, goes looking for snuggles all the time, purring so loud you can probably hear him over in America! This picture is less than perfect, but here he is giving #1 a major snuggle:

And here he is, making a large batch of biscuits on Tommy!

Little Genji was pretty eager to make up for that somewhat scary picture last week…

But that didn't stop him from a full frontal snuggle attack on #1!

As for Sei-Chan, well… she snuggled with Tommy!

You would be forgiven for thinking that she doesn't move from Tommy's paws between one week and the next...

We have no snuggle pics with the Big V today, but #1 did take a couple of fun selfies with Violette:

And this concludes our SoS post for this week. We wish you all a Very Snuggly Sunday!

PS: Sei-Chan would like to say a big thank you for all the lovely comments on her SEIturday post. She's been walking around with that faraway dreamy expression on her face!

SEIturday

Sei-Chan: Ahem…. I have to mention that my SEIturday post one week ago got only nine comments, making it the only post in longer than we can remember to have had fewer than ten comments. Friends, I am mortified! Do you not find my SEiturday ponderings and photos worthy of comment? Sniff… When I think of all the time and effort I put in to preparing my posts! Double sniff…

Well, now that I've gotten that of my chest, let's get down to this week's business, shall we? The weather has been mostly lovely and #1 has had plentiful opportunity to take nice sunpuddle shots. Here I am on the lizard-viewing platform:

Now please take a good look at this next photo, in particular look in the region of my front paws:

Yes! That is indeed a lizard. We wouldn't tell #1 who actually caught it, but I played with it a lot. It was fun!

I was pleased!

And very sleepy from all the effort!

Wishing you all a lovely SEIturday!

Frootbat and Flying Ears Friday

Genji: I get to host, I GET TO HOST!!!! Welcome to FROOTBAT FRIDAY which, I am told by #1, was started by two kitties called Kaze (an Oriental Shorthair)  and Latte (A Meezer). They no longer blog but we do get occasional updates on FaceBook, and know they're well.

Anyway, I shall kick off with my very own blue Frootbats!

Sorry about the half-wink there. I had only just woken up and was not yet completely operational, but my Frootbats were all there!

As you know, my Beebs Bro is very proud of his Frootbats. I guess they're OK…

Here is Tama-Chan with what we would consider to be very relaxed 'Bats:

And here is an unusually rude-looking Sei-Chan with her 'Bats:

Violette decided to submit something a little different this week in terms of 'Bat perspective…

Whereas the Big V, Vidock, decided to go for timeless good looks:

And now, DRUM ROLL….. It's FLYING EARS TOMMY!

And, exceptionally today, in the spirit of "Forever Friday", we would also like to include our Rainbow 'Bats!

#1's first kitty, Ikkyu:

Sen-Chan:

And Yuu-Chan:

Happy Friday, Everyone!

Thankful Thursday

Everyone at The Poupounette has something to be thankful for today!

Tama is thankful that she didn't have to go to the vet this week (she already went to get her boosters a little while ago). So that meant she could lounge in the carriers without worrying!

Da Beebs is thankful that he had Tommy for company when he went to Dr. C's:

Sei-Chan is thankful she successfully eluded capture to go to the vet (although she suspects that this may not be the end of it…)

Genji is thankful for sunpuddles to nap in:

Tommy is thankful for the fields he can run in:

Violette is thankful for the beautiful place where she now lives and all her friends:

Vidock is thankful that Uncle Eric is teaching him so many new things

And our squirrel buddy, Rusty, is thankful that there are always walnuts waiting for him whenever he is feeling peckish!

Last but not least, we are all thankful for the TWO awards we were given by our friend Zorro over at The Swiss Cats. They are the Friendly Blog Award:

And the Sunshine Picnic Award:

We are supposed to follow various rules in passing on of these lovely awards, but we're never too good on rules. So, here is an adapted version in that we are passing on both awards together! The Sunshine Picnic Award comes with an invitation to a picnic where each brings something to eat. We are going to pick a bunch of you from different places so you can each bring a local speciality! We pass the award to Hisia and Loustiquette at Bleue Comme Aby in France, Charlie Rascal at Kjelle Bus in Sweden, The Amigos at Cat Tales in Singapore, Derby and Ducky in the United States, and Rumbles and Hammy at Rumblebum in New Zealand! Thanks again, Zorro, and your humans Claire and Momo.

Wednesday Whinnies

Violette: Pretty Neighs, Every Friend! Violette here! I have some exciting stuff to share with you today, starting with this photo that #1 took of me last Saturday. She says I look just like the gorgeous and proud princess I have become:

She also says that when I stand next to my Arab mare friends, I fit right in, even though I am a draft girl!

And today, I have something extra special for you, my very first video! Just look at my moves!

Oh, and I almost forgot the other exciting thing… The Big V and I got to almost meet nose to nose for the very first time! I am playing it extra-cool in this first shot, as any demure girl must:

And then I got my treat bucket (he had already had his), and who's got time for boys when there are yummy treat buckets around, right?

Vidock: You know, I am not sure that that girl Violette appreciated me at my true value. There was I, prancing around, neighing at her, and doing other stuff that #1 says is too rude to mention in a nice blog like this one, and Ms Cool kinda ignored me. Sniff…. I mean, would you ignore this hunk?

I asked Uncle Eric for advice afterwards, but he just told me that girls are complicated and I need to be patient.

All this stuff happening to me is very fun, though!

Tama-Chan Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Did any of the boys happen to mention yesterday that #1 came home one whole hour later than she had promised on Sunday! She says it was not her fault and the show that was supposed to be two hours lasted more than three. We were not pleased, and Tommy refused to have his supper until she got home.

Anyway, I am glad to be back on regular schedule and I hope I have enough photos to keep you amused this week. I have been slacking off a bit on the dangle practice lately, so here is the only photo I can offer in that category:

Yesterday, my Beebs showed you a photo of me supervising his mealtime. Like all mothers, I also have to clean up after him, so here I am, finishing up his leftovers:

Don't worry, though! I have still been getting in my bit of fun. Here I am on lizard watch:

And here I am doing a little light supervising at the study window:

Today, #1 is taking both my Beebs and Sei-Chan to Dr. C's for their shots. Wish her luck, as its the first time she has attempted to take two of us at the same time.

Update: #1 here. well, my Beebs did indeed go and get his shots and was deemed to be perfect in every way by Dr. C. That little Minx, Sei-Chan, however went into hiding and despite all her best efforts, #1 could not locate her. So, another appointment will have to be made.
