Snuggles on Sunday!

Tama-Chan: I have been trying, Dear Friends, to think back on when it was that we last had a proper SoS post and I simply cannot remember. So here we are in October, and we are trying our best to catch up. #1 is no longer looking like a zombie, although we are happy to report that she is spending time sitting down in places where we can sit on her!

As you know, I am a very talented girl, and so here I am enjoying a cuddle from #1 whilst having a bath!

My Beebs, being extremely soppy, concentrates on his snuggle time...

And here he is snuggling with Tommy!

Sei-Chan is back to snuggling full-time with Tommy:

Genji has been very busy indeed. Here he is with Tommy:

He has taken it upon himself to keep his big brother clean...

And he has of course been snuggling with #1!

Our Tommy has been doing his own share of snuggling with #1:

#1 has also been spending time with the Vs, and even though she has no cuddle photos per se this week, here they are coming over for cuddles!

Wishing you a very snuggly Sunday!

SEIturday

Sei-Chan: Can it be true? Can this be just a regular old SEIturday, with #1 here and not planning on going anywhere? YAY!!!!! Fly the flags!!!

I thought I might celebrate with a few shots of my whiskers. How about a full frontal view first?

And a side view too?

Modelling is hard work, especially for a shy girl like me. I don't know how Daisy does it! Although, maybe if there was enough ham involved... I need to think seriously about this.

By the way, have I told you about my latest favourite sleeping spot?

I hope #1 isn't planning to make that bed up anytime soon...

To wrap things up, I should mention that #1 is very pleased with our apples this year. We have one small tree that she planted a few years ago and the apples get bigger each year! Just look at this year's crop!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Vidock and Violette Vendredi

Vidock: Studly neighs, everyone! I trust you have all been well and enjoying good autumn weather? It is still very nice here and Big Tom and I have a 10 acre field to romp in. Perfect for Horse-Zoomies!

When #1 comes to see me, I always try to show her my best side, which is of course all sides...

Hello #1!

Looking coy!

Smile for the camera!

Violette: Pretty Neighs, Dear Friends. Coy indeed! That Vidock is such a ham! He has #1 quite wrapped around his hoof, as I also have, of course!

I too have a huge field that I share with my friend Ushuaia. I am always on the lookout for #1:

Whenever she comes to visit, I immediately go over to give her a cuddle!

You know, it is coming up to a year since #1 first saw me in the field next to her house and came over to say hello. Who would have thought that my life would change so much? Here is a photo of me back then:

I love my family!

And talking of happy endings, we have news of Urey (now Uuka) to share with you! His new owner is so happy with him! He says that he has had, and worked with, many horses in the past but this is the first time that a horse has truly become his "buddy." Uuka is incredibly talented and a fast learner, and Mr. B says he really needs to be careful not to overwork him as he is so keen to learn! We are so happy for our buddy!

Tommy on Thursday

Tom: I have to tell you, there is nothing quite like routine! I love getting back to routine now that #1 is here!  We had to take the car to the garage because the cigar lighter was no longer working and, as #1 says, that is a serious problem in this day and age (no, she does not smoke...), and I went with her. It seems that a fuse had blown, so we just hung out whilst they fixed it:

Please note my 2012 Idita-Leash, complete with my name:

You have no idea what a to-do it was to get that leash. We had ordered it, along with a hoodie sweatshirt. The sweatshirt arrived but no leash! We made enquiries and it turned out they were being shipped directly from the manufacturer and these people wouldn't ship overseas. And guess what more? They wouldn't even ship to Alaska!!! So the nice David Olson Idita-guy in Nome had it sent to his son in Oklahoma who then sent it to us! What a story!

So, anyway, I have been hanging out quite a bit with my Genji-bro. Can you believe Ms. A and Mr. D called him Gengis Khan?!

And I've been romping in the fields with #1. Gotta be more careful now as hunting season has begun and many of those guys don't really care what they shoot at, as long as they shoot...

All of this means that I am usually pretty pooped by the end of the day:

PS: Our dog blogging friends will remember the awful fire that razed our Pibble friends' (kissa-bull) house last year, and took the lives of five of their rescues. They have been working hard to rebuild their lives and now find themselves in dire straits once more. Anybody who might be able to help can go here to find out their story and  chip in. We cannot possibly let them become homeless yet again!

Little and Large Wednesday!

Bibi-Chan: In a comment to yesterday's post, our friend Kari said that Genji looked so much smaller than me in that day's photo, and asked whether that was truly the case or was it an optical illusion. Friends, it's true! Genji is a tiny boy and I am a very big boy. In fact, #1 calls me Percheron sized! I am by a long shot the tallest out of the four of us. I have really long legs and a very long body, and I am lean and sleek and perfectly proportioned.

Genji is also perfectly proportioned but in a tiny package:

This picture is a bit old and Genji has grown a little since then, but it gives you an idea:

Yet this one is more recent and the difference is even more flagrant!

#1 says it all works out perfectly as Genji is the ultimate "in your arms" lover boy and she often finds herself trying to type with her right hand as Genji is nestled in her left arm. With me, that would simply not be possible! I on the other hand am a night-time under the covers snuggler and my long body provides extra warmth on cold winter nights!

Here are a couple of gratuitous shots to end today's post:

Tama-Chan's LIVESTRONG Tuesday

Tama-Chan: Like so many of our friends, we would like to dedicate today to all those we have lost to cancer and all those who are battling this dreaded disease. It seems to rear its ugly head everywhere and so often leaves us helpless. LIVESTRONG is what we hope for everyone now and in the future.

Here are some yellow flowers from us, courtesy of #1:

At our end, we are all basking in the joy of having #1 home once and for all. She is the first one to say how happy she is to be back. All of her travels and adventures were exciting and fun, but she is feeling tired and is looking forward to lots of cuddles from us and lots of lovely autumnal walks with Tommy, as well as finally getting on Vidock's back one day soon!

As for me, I have simply been relaxing in the knowledge that all is well in our world!

Manly Monday

Bibi-Chan: Can there be anything manlier than being washed by your little brother as you wait for your #1 to give you treats?

Gen-Chan: Personally, I prefer to climb onto #1 for my treats...

Tom: My biggest treat is to run like the wind in the fields, with #1 watching!

And whilst we were out in the field yesterday, our neighbour Basha invited #1 to give him a belly rub!

Vidock: Personally, I like to win people over with my smile!

Have a great week everyone!
