Sei-Chan's Souvenir Saturday - Remembering IKKYU

Rainbow Sei: Hello, Dear Friends. I hope you are all well and enjoying the spring if you are in the Northern Hemisphere. There are so many beautiful flowers around Poupounette Central!

Today, we thought we would dedicate our post to the first among us, #1's very first cat and also first Abyssinian. His name was Ikkyu, after a very great Zen monk who was famous for his wisdom and sense of humour. Ikkyu was born in 1992 and travelled to the Bridge in 2007. For 15 years, he accompanied #1 on so many adventures, living and travelling with her on three continents (Asia, Europe and America). He was always an only cat as he was very exclusive. He only ever loved #1! Now he is our wise elder at the Bridge, and we all love him. Here are photos of him, in no particular order.

  8. There is much joy from a single pet. The family of pets is fun, too, just different. Linda
