Tama-Chan Tuesday - The Rainbow Queen

Rainbow Queen Tama: Hello, Dear Friends! Here I am, back to my usual Tuesday spot after a break last week. I hope you are all well. You know that at the Bridge, we welcome all who have crossesd but we also rejoice when, through their tears, our people choose to open their hearts and homes to another cat (or dog). So, this week, Derby and Ducky are celebrating the arrival of Dobby with their Mom, Janet, who was finding the silence too hard to bear. Live long and prosper, Dobby!

Now, where was I? We have reached the year 2021 in our meanderings through my life at Poupounette Central. That was the year I celebrated my 13th birthday and #1 left for a long stay in Japan for the Olympics and Paralympics. It was also a year of more goodbyes, but also a hello. So let's get to it.

January 2021 - The plan was simple: naps, sunpuddles and snuggling with #1:

February 2021 - It was nice to spend time with Ollie, and even with Fernant, in addition to my usual activities

March 2021 - This was the saddest month because we lost little Genji. He had not been doing well for a while and his poor body finally gave out. For a little while, it was just Ollie and me.

It had been peaceful, and then this showed up!

April 2021 - Yes, Benny The Black had arrived! A half grown kitten at five months, riddled with ear mites and an eye infection. Then it turned out he had a polyp in his right ear that needed removing. He was a pretty expensive free kitten!

I started helping #1 more with the computer:

May 2021 - With the nicer weather, I began to enjoy the cat run more.

Sometimes, the little black ninja would try my patience:

But what could I do?

June 2021 - June arrived and #1 told us that she would be leaving mid-month and not be back until September. Intricate arrangements were put in place for our care, and we enjoyed her presence as much as we could.

July and August 2021 - I have a grand total of two photos for these two months. #1 even missed my birthday on August 2nd. She said it could not be helped. Really?

September 2021 - We could not wait for #1 to return at the end of the first week in September!

November 2021 - Things settled back into our usual routines once #1 came back to earth after that amazing experience.

December 2021 - And then it was the last month of the year, with Christmas and the end of another twelve month period. What would 2022 bring?

Thank you for reading yet another very long post!

  3. Lovely photos looking back through the year. It seems impossible that it is already 5 years since Benny arrived to try your patience.
Three months was a long time for #1 to be in Japan, but I know she will have missed you as much as you missed her.
