Tama-Chan Thursday - The Rainbow Queen

Rainbow Queen Tama: Greetings, Dear Friends, and welcome back to another episode of my life story. I hope you are not getting bored. #1 says it takes her several hours to put together the photos for each post, and I do hope you are enjoying them. So, here is 2019 for you.

January 2019 - A sad start to the year after the loss of Tommy:

But I looked for sunpuddles wherever I could find them.

And, at the end of the month, this arrived! Ollie certainly livened things up quickly!

February 2019 -  Trying to get back to normal.

Here I am with little Genji. He always was a very sweet boy.

I started to get into dangling:

And worked to make friends with Ollie:

March 2019 - I started to spend more time with my boy Bibi. My maternal instinct knew that there was something not quite right with him, as he was taken to see Dr. C several times.

#1 tried to reassure me:

But a mother knows...

I distracted myself with my dangling:

April 2019 - I was getting more and more worried.

We spent time together in the cat run:

But he was getting thinner and thinner...

But what could I do?

Other than snuggle with #1 as much as possible:

May 2019 - It was not a good month, Dear Friends. I watched my boy fade away in front of my eyes and, by the end of the month, Beebs was gone. We were all devastated.

I helped #1 write up his memorial post:

June 2019 - Once again, we had to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps. It was just me, Genji, and little Ollie now.

#1 and I comforted each other as best we could:

July 2019 - And then it was full summer:

Hot enough to need to air out my tummy!

August 2019 - Time for another birthday. On August 2nd, I turned 11. The years certainly had flown by! I celebrated with an aria in the cat run.

#1 told me I was lovelier than ever.

September 2019 - As the days started to shorten, we all sought comfort.

October 2019 - #1 was gone, to Japan, almost the whole month, so the photos were few. It was a comfort to have Genji there, though.

November 2019 - It was such a joy to have #1 back with us!

December 2019 - And thus another year came to an end, once more marked by terrible loss. We closed the year hoping against hope for a quiet year to come, but it was not to be. 2020 brought with it its very own tragedies.

My boy, Bibi, had loved to sit in the dryer, among the warm and dry laundry, so I decided to try it too.

And we had our neighbour, Fernant, with us for the holidays. He reminded me of happy times with Tommy.

And that, Dear Friends, was 2019.
