Rainbow Queen Tama: I was getting ready to help #1 remotely with the next episode of my life story when I heard a commotion at the gates. Being curious, I went to see what was going on and there stood our old friend Ducky, looking dazed and uncomprehending. Just last Friday, he had celebrated his 16th Gotchaversary with his adoring Mom, Janet, and seemed set for more happy times with her. In an almost uncanny premonition, she had written "While I celebrate this day unfortunately things are happening that make me feel that Ducky won't be here for an extended period of time." On Monday morning, she found him having a seizure, immediately took him to the vet, and he embarked on his journey to the Bridge. The poor boy arrived here with no idea what had happened. Fortunately, his old friend Derby was there and welcomed him with open paws, as we all did.
All of us know all too well the depth of the sadness our people go through when we leave. Ms. Janet, please know that we will take very good care of Ducky until you are reunited. We all send you soft, consoling purrs, and our #1 sends a big virtual hug.
His Mom said this was one of her favourite pics of her beloved Ducky, and so we have borrowed it to pay our respects.

that is so sad... our heart broke too while reading...
ReplyDeleteI was so sad when I heard the news. This is a lovely post for Ducky. A long time friend now reunited with Derby.
